RubyMaru is the femslash ship between Ruby Kurosawa and Hanamaru Kunikida from the Love Live! fandom.

Hanamaru says Ruby is her dearest friend. The two met in junior high school in the library. The two would often spend their time there, and ended up bonding. Hanamaru first noticed her reading an idol magazine. When Ruby saw that Hanamaru had seen her, she became flustered and hid behind the book, but both slowly smiled at each other.
After Chika tries and fails to get the two to join Aqours, Ruby tells Hanamaru about her sister Dia's hate for school idols. She thinks she's not cut out for one anyway, and Hanamaru agrees that she's fine not doing it either. Later Hanamaru thinks it over, and decides she wants to be one. She asks Ruby, who is uncertain due to her shyness and Dia. Hanamaru suggests they do a Trial Period which Ruby agrees to.
While joining Aqours in training, Ruby stops running up the stairs when she sees Hanamaru lagging behind. She lies to the others that she's just a little out of breath and for them to continue. Hanamaru finally catches up and tells Ruby to keep going. After Ruby is out of sight, Hanamaru meets with Dia and tells her to respect Ruby's feelings. Hanamaru eventually gives up trying to be an idol. Ruby finds her and tells her how she knows that Hanamaru actually liked it, because she saw her smiling with everyone, and looking at the μ's magazine a lot. Ruby says she wants to be a school idol with Hanamaru.

In Ruby's side story "Chit-Chat Before Cooking", Ruby and Hanamaru chat together. After Hanamaru pointing out that Ruby looks tired from ingredient hunting, Ruby recounts her harsh adventure and Hanamaru expresses sympathy for her. Hanamaru notices Ruby has a scratch and gives her a band-aid. Ruby thanks Hanamaru happily, but Hanamaru says thanking her like that makes them seem like strangers. Ruby however, wants to thank Hanamaru, because she's always helping her out. Ruby gives some examples, that Hanamaru is always hanging out, calling and texting her. Hanamaru realizes she could say the same thing. Ruby shows Hanamaru some pretty leaves she picked up while on the mountain and suggests they make matching bookmarks with them, to which Hanamaru enthusiastically agrees to.
In Hanamaru's side story "The Blessing of Fallen Leaves", Hanamaru and Ruby are cleaning up leaves around a shrine. Hanamaru thanks Ruby and subsequently apologies for making Ruby help her out, but Ruby enjoys helping Hanamaru clean. Hanamaru says she's blessed to have such a great friend as Ruby. Hanamaru then uses the last remaining pile of leaves to roast a sweet potato and she splits it with Ruby.

RubyMaru is a popular ship in the Love Live! fandom. The two having a strong bond due to being best friends helped to sail the ship, as well as them knowing each other before joining Aqours. It is sometimes compared to RinPana for the similarities between the pairings (eg. both involving pure and smile attribute first years who are best friends). It mainly rivals their ships with Yoshiko, YohaMaru and YohaRuby.
