Rubycil is the femslash ship between Ruby and Pencil from the Battle for Dream Island fandom.

Pencil is excited to hear Ruby accept the offer of her being in their alliance. While adding ingredients together to their team's bowl, Ruby stops Pencil from using a bubble wand to blow Bubble back to life. She tries persuading that doing so is too much work although Pencil is willing to do it to bring Bubble back. Pencil thinks that she is acting weird as Ruby tries laughing it off.
During the Cake at Stake, Pencil is worried because she, Match and Ruby have yet to be safe. As she says this, the three are the next ones confirmed safe. Later in the challenge, Ruby admits to Match and Pencil that she thought reviving Bubble would kick her out of the alliance. After reassured by Match that the alliance is allowed to be four members, Ruby is on board with Pencil bringing Bubble back. Pencil defends Ruby when Bubble is angry at first that the alliance exceeds three members.
Ruby is in awe when she sees Pencil saving Gelatin from hitting the ground when he falls from the Eiffel Tower. Pencil frowns when the tower's point swings and shatters Ruby. Later when Ruby recovers Flower with the new Hand-powered Recovery Center, Pencil threatens to expel her from their alliance. She then immediately clarifies it was a joke, relieving Ruby.
Pencil and Ruby, along with Bubble and Match are partying in the alliance's Clubhouse of Awesomeness. Later when Golf Ball tries to force Pencil to promise not to switch teams, she high-fives Ruby when she states she doesn't promise to either. The two, along with Book, Ice Cube, Match, and Bubble form their own team named FreeSmart. Pencil yells at the team to get in their van when Ruby asks what their strategy is. At the start of their drive to Yoyle Mountain, Ruby is confused on where their food went. She is in disbelief when Pencil tells her she ate all of the peanuts. As Book and Ruby get themselves in a snowball fight, Pencil warns Ruby of when the snow mixes with gasoline.
The alliance walks up to the top of Evil Leafy and find a button when they get there. When Ruby asks whether to press it or not, Pencil angrily yells at her to do so. Pencil quickly realizes that she just shouted at Ruby and is saddened to see her cry. She apologizes and explains that her anticipation of finally escaping Evil Leafy got the best of her. Ruby presses a different green button rather than the red one they saw earlier, blasting away Match and Ice Cube. Pencil yells at her for choosing the wrong button and questions whether she was taught in gem school. Hearing from Book that only diamons can attend gem schools, Pencil apologizes again and tells her to press the button. She presses a yellow button that drops a cage on the three. Ruby finally presses the red button after yelled at to do so, which shoots a laser that disintegrates Pencil.
When the team is reunited, Ruby is sad to have lost their FreeSmart Van. Pencil presents her a revamped FreeSmart SuperVan, exciting her and the rest of the alliance. They all get in and continue their drive to Yoyle Mountain. When they reach the dillema of not having a recovery center, Ruby suggests the idea that they steal. Pencil agrees with her and uses the van's magnet to attract the Hand-powered Recovery Center.
As they arrive at Yoyle City, Ruby suggests taking the recovery center with them. She takes it out of the trunk and causes it to land on the snow and gasoline mixture. Pencil tries to help her lift it only now realizing that the machine is glued to the ground. She iterates the seriousness of the situation to Ruby as they can no longer bring the recovery center around with them. After Ruby apologizes to Pencil, the two and the rest of the team begin their walk to the top of the mountain. Pencil is suddenly caught in the grip of a fish monster, causing Ruby to panic as she sees the other teams catching up. The team eventually decides to kill and recover Pencil to get it out of its tongue, which they excitedly assist with. Ruby recovers Pencil once she is sawed from the fish monster's tongue.
Ruby offers Pencil some yoyleberries as they're falling from the summit of Yoyle Mountain. Pencil declines and threatens to kick her out of the team if she doesn't stop. After the Cake at Stake ceremony, Pencil reminds Nickel that Ruby glued their only recovery center in Yoyleland, causing her to apologize again. Ruby is excited when Pencil announces that they're using the SuperVan for the challenge. She suggests heading to the Pillow Marketplace to which Pencil agrees with. As Pencil drives around the city, Ruby is excited by her surroundings but starts to wonder if Pencil knows where she's going. Pencil worriedly tells her not to ask. A few hours later, Ruby learns that Pencil has been driving through a park in circles the whole time. With help from Book, Ruby and Pencil find the location of where the marketplace is. Since the marketplace is in a mall made up of slippery walls, the team gets the idea to grab balloons from a store and float their way up there. While in the air, Ruby jumps off the van to visit a filtration plant, to Pencil's annoyance. After Ruby is done visiting, Pencil is irritated and sarcastically suggests Ruby taking her to dinner there. Ruby takes the comment seriously, making Pencil growl. The gang panics when they later stumble across a pipe while floating. Pencil and Book begin holding their breaths to Ruby's command when water starts to pile up in the van from the pipe. Before they drown, the three bring out snorkels and puncture holes in the roof to breathe from. They begin to have their worries that they won't win the challenge being unable to sleep underwater. The van ends up tilting the pipe from all the water and the team approaches W.O.A.H. Bunch. After a fight, Ruby realizes that they're losing focus on the challenge and hands blankets and pillows to Book, Pencil, and Ice Cube. As they later end up in a cycle caused by Evil Leafy chasing the two teams, Ruby turns to Pencil on what they should do. After the challenge is over, Ruby asks Pencil if she would like to start a video diary. Book gets a camera to record with and Pencil is excited to use the opportunity to share messages to their currently-eliminated friends. Before Ruby begins to film, Pencil checks up to see if she's forgotten anything. Ruby is sure she hasn't and begins filming Pencil, who reflects on how their team did in the challenge.
Still in space from after the previous challenge, Pencil records Ruby catching a shooting star for their video diary. At some point in the recording, Ruby tries to make Pencil aware that her head is an eraser, which are known for not having brains. The two panic as they overhear the challenge wheel being spun and realize they need to go back down to see what the next challenge is. They end up arriving too late as they land on the now-spinning wheel after the challenge has already begun. Pencil tells Ruby that they may end up having to try all of the options on the wheel. As the rest of the team is dazed from the fall, Ruby tries to wake up Book, Ice Cube, and Pencil that Firey and Gelatin are trying to invade their team. Book suggests that they include them to their team, causing Ruby to ask Pencil how she feels of this. Pencil is initially against this but when Firey and Gelatin point out they know what the contest is and they don't, the two now realize their importance to the team. Pencil and Ruby, along with Book and Ice Cube do every task that the two tells them to do: ranging from doing jumping jacks, to eating leaves, to shattering windows, and visiting planets. When told that their challenge is to kill their team members, Ruby kills Pencil using a pencil sharpener. Pencil later defends Ruby that she was just trying to win the challenge when Book is mad that Ruby killed her.
Book, Ice Cube, Ruby, and Pencil discover the remains of an exploded aerospace plant. As Pencil is ravaging through the rubbage, Ruby finds two gears and gives them to Pencil, suggesting she try them on as earrings. Pencil accepts the gift and says it'll go well with her headband. When the team is approached by Firey Speaker Box, Pencil is unwilling to do their Cake at Stake ceremony but Ruby is excited to. Pencil is in disbelief that Ruby is optimistic about it. The gang walks over to their Clubhouse of Awesomeness to do the Cake at Stake. Later when Pencil is in the bottom two for having the most elimination votes, Ruby is worried for Pencil and wakes her up. Pencil calms her fears believing that the voters wouldn't choose her over one of the intruders, Firey. This ends up coming true as Firey is revealed to be the next one eliminated. While using a magnet to bring back the Puffball Speaker Box, Pencil realizes from Ruby that her gear earrings are magnetic, getting her attracted by the magnet instead. Later during the challenge, Pencil uses a paint shooter to color the Eiffel Tower pink, their team's color for the contest. Ruby excitedly accepts when Pencil offers her a chance to use it. The two end up chasing Fries' car when Ruby loses her Yoyleite and Pencil's paint shooter to it. They, along with Fries and Tennis Ball, crash land and die for the remainder of the challenge.
After FreeSmart is reunited, Pencil takes up Ruby's suggestion of celebrating inside the Clubhouse of Awesomeness. However, the tower is destroyed after Cake at Stake and the two briefly reminisce it. For the charades challenge, Pencil questions Ruby how she interpreted Book's rowing gesture as unclogging a toilet, with Ruby thinking that it's the way everyone unclogs a toilet. As Book points to a page in herself, Ruby says she can't read and is demanded by Pencil that she can. Ruby reminds her that she didn't go to Gem School which makes Pencil realize that she was discriminated against. When it's Pencil's turn to gesture, Ruby thinks that she is also unclogging a toilet. Later, she reveals to Book that she lied about being unable to read to get sympathy from Pencil.
When arriving at the Hand-powered Recovery Center, Ruby recovers Pencil first even with the machine's crank being a struggle. The two cheer and hug when Pencil is recovered as Ruby tells her she's happy to see her back. Asking what it's like when she was dead, Pencil responds to Ruby that she doesn't remember. The two work together to recover the rest of the team members that were crushed by last challenge's trash compactors.
Pencil walks up to the video camera while recording and realizes Ruby had forgotten to take off the lens cap. When approached by it, Ruby admits she doesn't know what a lens cap is and apologizes. After hearing from Ruby that it's more than likely that the lens cap was on the camera the entire time, Pencil is devastated that nobody was watching their video diaries for this reason. Ruby gasps when Pencil complains that three years of their work has been wasted. Pencil describes that nobody knows who was eliminated in BFDIA 6 because of this. Ruby pulls out a sheet of paper with the voting results, confusing Pencil on where she got it. Pencil chases after her when Ruby refuses to say and runs away. Teased by Ruby with it by holding it off the side of the Yoyle Needy, Pencil tries to reach it but loses her grip and is now holding off the edge of the railing. Pencil is angered and tries to get back up with help from Bubble, but ends up falling off from the side. Ruby tries to reach the end of the staircase by jumping through its center to get to Pencil, but ends up shattering. Pencil blames Ruby for her fall when Book rescues her. As Pencil realizes they need to recover Bubble and Ice Cube, she is unaware of Ruby's death but is not surprised when Book tells her about it. When she and Book make it to the Hand-powered Recovery Center, the team is recovered and they dance to celebrate.
When Bubble is demoted to a "bember", Ruby is relieved to hear from Pencil that she is still a member. Ruby tells Pencil that while trying to figure a team name, she made a good obeservation of the team composing of her alliance.
Ruby roleplays as Pencil during a challenge to impress Four.
While stuck in the EXIT, Pencil doodles the members of her alliance which includes Ruby.
For the first challenge in Battle for BFB, Ruby shares with her new team that she was gifted Pencil's most prized possession by her before her elimination. She describes her elimination as unforgiveable and has guarded the box its contained in during her time away. Gelatin opens the box to reveal it being the FreeSmart SuperVan.

Rubycil is a fairly known ship in the Battle for Dream Island fandom. The ship has gained traction with the revival of the second season where Ruby's adoration for Pencil as a leader and Pencil's appreciation of her have begun to develop more. Although Ruby has always been known to have great respect for Pencil beforehand, the new episodes within the season have caused the ship to grow in traction. This is especially present on platforms such as Twitter and TikTok where supporters have cited numerous scenes that add fuel to their passion for the ship, such as Ruby taking Pencil's sarcastic dinner offer seriously and Pencil happy to see Ruby graciously accept the paint shooter. Many also appreciate that Pencil, unlike other members of her alliance, has shown more trust in Ruby because of her loyalty to the alliance. Like most pairings, the two have rival ships in terms of popularity, most notably Matchcil (Match x Pencil) and Floweruby (Flower x Ruby).
