Rubynkle is the femslash ship between Ruby the Red and Twinkle Starglitter from the Super 4 fandom.
Canon[]
Although they are both girls, Twinkle is a fairy who likes cute and girly stuffs, and Ruby is the contrary, she thinks she must have a tough and fearless attitude since she wants to prove the world that girls can be pirates too. As said, opposites attract and although they can disagree sometimes or argue, they care for each other deeply and are best friends who throughout the series shared several hugs. Also from time to time, they admired each other's abilities.
Season 1[]
Rage of the Dragon[]
Baba Cara transforms Ruby into a dragon, but her friends weren't present and when they found Ruby's pirate hat on the ground near a dragon, they got alarmed thinking the dragon ate Ruby. Twinkle was approaching him madly while yelling "Bring back my friend, you ugly creature!", when the three Super 4 members were running away with the Chameleon, Twinkle was saying saddened "I can't believe this dragon has eaten Ruby, our Ruby and swallowed her raw in its entirety!"
While they were chasing the dragon, Twinkle approached him and noticed that it had a ring attached on one of his horns. And in that moment she realized that the dragon was actually Ruby.
After explaining to Alex and Gene that a spell transformed Ruby into a dragon, because said animal represented her rage and anger, in order to bring her back to normal they must help her calm down.
When her friends actually manage to make Ruby transform back, Twinkle hugged her and congratulated that she learned how to control her emotions.
The Goose With the Golden Eggs[]
Ruby develops a magical power after touching a golden apple which granted her the power of turning everything she touches into gold. After she goes to impress the other pirates, whom they crowned her as the new queen of the pirates. When the other three Super 4, disguised as pirates came to pick her back, she gets mad at them because she didn't want to leave that the pirates have finally accepted her as one of them. After the pirates imprison Alex, Gene and Twinkle, Ruby feels sorry for them and as she orders the pirates to let them go, they only grab Ruby to put her into chains to abuse from her powers. Gene is able to melt the gold prison with a laser from his holo-pad, Alex frees Ruby from her chains with his sword. Now Twinkle is mad at her, but when Ruby tries to talk to her by grabbing her arm, she accidentally turns her into a statue of gold. After the Super 4 are able to run away from Gunpowder Island, Ruby inside the Chameleon looks at Twinkle's statue and regrets not having listened to her. After fighting the pirates who tried to convince Ruby to keep her powers, she said that she already decided to save Twinkle.
Ruby manages to pick up an apple and looses her powers.
Twinkle is brought back to life and instantly forgives Ruby as they run towards the other to share a hug.
Back on the Chameleon, Ruby tells her that she was so afraid of never seeing her again, and tells her friends that her biggest treasure is their friendship.
Moments[]
- In Season 1 Episode "Gene's Four", when Ruby was able to avoid all moving red lasers, so her friends could pass through the passage, Twinkle shouted out loud "Wow, she's good as gold!"
- In the ending of Season 2 Episode "Chasing the Chameleon" Twinkle congratulated Ruby by telling that she's been "truly sensational!"
- In Season 2 Episode "Logic, Not Magic", Ruby told Twinkle that she was "magical" after she remembered how to cast magic again and hugged her.
- In the end of Season 2 Episode "Super 3" Ruby said "Here comes Twinkle, our fantasty-fairy!" when Twinkle joined Super 4 back after scolding the dragon.

Rubynkle is a well recieved ship in the small fandom and some fans drew fanarts for their exceptional friendship. It is more overshadowed by Rubex, Geneby and Alenkle.
