RyoJun is the slash ship between Junpei Iori and Ryoji Mochizuki from the Persona fandom.
Canon[]
Junpei met Ryoji on November 4th after he transferred to Gekkoukan High. Since they don't interact in the original game, Ryoji is much closer to Junpei than Makoto.
During the hot spring incident in Kyoto, when Ryoji notices Yukari and the girls, he plans to say hi to them until Junpei dunks Ryoji’s face in the water to shut him up. This backfires when the girls hear splashing sounds and decide to investigate around the hot spring.
If the guys managed to escape without getting caught by the girls, Junpei and Ryoji would have passed out from the heat from staying in the hot spring for too long.
After December 2nd, when Ryoji reveals himself as Death, Junpei becomes hostile towards Him. This shows that Junpei no longer sees him as a friend.
If Ryoji is spared, like the others, Junpei is relieved to see him alive after Makoto decides not to kill him.
Female Route[]
Ryoji becomes the only guy in the same grade as Junpei was close with at Gekkoukan High.
Other Social Links[]
On November 27th, Ryoji will mention Junpei in his Social Link 7 with Kotone. He was worried for him since Junpei wasn’t acting like his usual self. According to Ryoji, he looked like he was almost about to cry. If the player chooses, “He lost someone precious…” Ryoji will respond that people die, which she has to accept. To Ryoji, Junpei is someone he cares about since he saw him this way before, and if there’s a way to help him, he will find a way to do so.

When Ryoji attempts to see Yukari and the girls in the hot spring incident, Junpei covers Ryoji’s mouth to shut him up instead of dunking Ryoji’s face in the water like in the original game.
If the guys managed to escape without getting caught by the girls, Junpei and Ryoji passed out in the middle of the hallway offscreen.
Film[]
During the Kyoto trip to the hot spring, when Junpei loses his towel, leaving him completely naked, Ryoji offers him a leaf to cover him. Junpei refuses and believes Ryoji is mocking him. It is because he hesitates to leave the hot spring that Yukari and the girls catch them.
In the final film, after Junpei and the others find out Ryoji is Appraiser, the bringer of the Fall, he shows no hesitation to attack him with his Persona until Ryoji is forced to use power to defeat him and the others who attack him at Moonlight Bridge. It shows how Junpei felt hurt and betrayed by him.
Weird Masquerade[]
In Act 3, in both routes, when the guys try to escape, Ryoji comes for Junpei first before they go back to get Akihiko. However, due to their hesitation to make their decisions (going back to get Sakuya on the male route or worrying about whether the girls will remember the incident), they are caught by the girls and “executed” by Aigis.
In Act 4, in mid-November, when Ryoji offers to hang out with Junpei to pick up girls, Junpei refuses his invitation because he already has someone in mind, Chidori.
Fanon[]
RyoJun comes from Ryoji Mochizuki and Junpei Iori. He is a well-known bromance fan. Ryoji is one of the guy friends Junpei gets along with in both the original films and the Reload versions.
