Ryuusato is the het ship between Ryuunosuke Naruhodou and Susato Mikotoba from the Ace Attorney fandom.

The Adventure of the Great Departure: The first time Ryuunosuke met Susato was in the defendants' antechamber at the Supreme Court of Judicature right before his trial for the murder of Dr. John H. Wilson. Their first interaction however happens during the trial when she interrupts court proceedings and hands Ryuunosuke a research report which turns out to be vital in proving his innocence. After the trial Ryuunosuke thanks her for her assistance.

The Adventure of the Unbreakable Speckled Band: During their voyage to Great Britain onboard the SS Burya, Kazuma Asogi is found dead inside his cabin. Since Ryuunosuke is found hiding inside the wardrobe of the cabin as a stowaway, he becomes the primary suspect. Susato is unable to fully trust him due to the evidence pointing to him being the culprit. After a lenghthy investigation, the two of them together with Herlock Sholmes manage to uncover the truth behind Kazuma's death. Since the study tour can't take place, Ryuunosuke decides to take Asogi's place and Susato agrees to teach him all he needs to know about English law and becoming a lawyer in the remaining days of their trip. She also gives him his best friend's sword, the "Karuma", because she believes that this would be Kazuma's will.

The Adventure of the Runaway Room: After arriving in Great Britain, the pair go the Lord Chief Justice's office in order for Ryuunosuke to get permission to practice law in a british court room. There they meet Mael Stronghart, the current Lord Chief Justice. His tall figure and imposing aura make Ryuunosuke nervous and thus unable to form coherent sentences. Therfore Susato takes the lead and starts speaking to Stronghart. After finding his courage, Ryuunosuke asks him if he could continue the study tour on behalf of Kazuma. Stronghart tells him that in order to become a certified lawyer, he must get an acquittal for a defendant that will be on trial for murder later the same day. Ryuunosuke tries to give an answer but fails. Taking his silence as a refusal, Lord Stronghart tells them to for their homeland the next day. Susato however speaks up claiming that Ryuunosuke's refusal to partake in the trial isn't out of a lack of resolve but rather that a trial of that severity shouldn't be treated as a test. He agrees and they both turn to leave, but before they do the Lord Chief Justice calls out to them saying that the defendant doesn't have anyone defending them meaning he'll be found guilty. Hearing that, both Susato and Ryuunosuke agree to take the case and head out to the Old Bailey.

At the defendants' antechamber they meet the defendant, Magnus McGilded. Upon entering and settling theselves behind the defence council bench, the pair is struck by the imposing atmosphere of the courtroom while Susato comments on Ryuunosuke's anxiety which is made obvious by his facial expressions. Following the declaration of the beginning of the proceedings by the judge, they meet the procecutor Lord Barok van Zieks who is more commonly referred to as "the Reaper of the Bailey".

The trial begins and eye witnesses of the murder give their testimony. After the first cross-examination, the jury unanimously find McGilded guilty. Seemingly having lost, Ryuunosuke loses all hope. However Susato comes to his rescue when she finds in her Encyclopedia of British Law a footnote which states that the defence council can perform a summation examination in order to change the juror's minds. With that information Ryuunosuke requests that a summation examination be performed. The judgegrants the defence the opportunity to conduct the summation examination. It proves succesful as four out of six jurors change their leaning from guilty to not guilty. As the trial continues, a smoke grenade is set off inside the courtroom, filling it with smoke and bringing an abrupt halt to the proceedings.

While waiting in the antechamber for the smoke to clear, Susato tells Ryuunosuke that the perpetrator of the attack has been cought by the police. She also brings up her concerns regarding testimony of one of the witnesses. After that they are both called back into the courtroom. Gina Lestrade is introduced in the trial as the one who set off the smoke grenade and proves to be a valueble witness for the defence. Ryuunosuke however starts to doubt his client's innocence after Lord van Zieks brings into question the authenticity of the evidence that he used to clear his name. He tries to stop the judge from finding McGilded not guilty but he is too late. When the trial is over and McGilded is found innocent, Susato congratulates Ryuunosuke for his excellent performance in court although they both know that the case isn't yet resolved.

After McGilded leaves with an officer to inspect the omnibus that was brought in as evidence and having met both Gina and a young girl, they discuss places in which they can live and Susato jokingly remarks that the McGilded Park could be a rather decent place to stay at.

Moments

• After solving the death of Kazuma and learning that the study tour can't continue, Ryuunosuke offers himself up as a replacement lawyer for Susato's sake.

Fanon

Ryuusato isn't as popular as other ships featuring Ryuunosuke and Susato. The primary reason is the age gap of roughly 7 years. Susato is in both games a minor under the age of 18, aged 16, while Ryuunosuke is an adult, aged 23, a fact which causes many people to call it problematic. Shippers defending this ship bring up Susatos' level of maturity and the fact that relationships of that type were rather common at the time that the games take place. They also say that since Phoenix Wright is a descendant of Ryuunosuke, Ryuunosuke must have married and had children thus making Susato the most likely candidate due to their close connection.
