Sakuponia is the femslash ship between SAKURA and Aponia from the Honkai fandom.
Canon[]
SAKURA was ordered to track down defectors from the MOTHs in Sundown Alley. During her search, SAKURA and Aponia passed by each other on the street. Both of them sensed something was off about the other, but neither acted on their suspicions. Later, SAKURA discovered the several Honkai-infected patients Aponia had hidden and decided to wipe them out to prevent the spread of Honkai disease. This angered Kalpas, resulting in a battle between the two. After hearing of the incident, the MOTHs had SAKURA bring Kalpas and Aponia back to the base. Aponia was imprisoned in the Deep End, as the MOTHs suspected she was responsible for the Honkai outbreak.
After getting the meta-morph surgery, Aponia was no longer a prisoner, but she decided to still stay in the Deep End in order to help others. Aponia used her Discipline ability on several members of the MOTH. Aponia's Discipline on SAKURA made it so that SAKURA's memories of using the 3rd Divine Key were sealed in the sword, which was a weapon she only used against humans. Every time she unsheathes the sword, the memories will come back to her. This was so that SAKURA would think twice any time she prepared to kill a human. Aponia also gave the order, "Never lose hope against the Honkai" to several soldiers. This would backfire when the 12th Herrscher's host turned out to be SAKURA's sister, Rin. With Aponia's Discipline and their own prejudices influencing their minds, the soldiers killed Rin despite her not being a threat. This resulted in the 12th Herrscher's awakening and SAKURA's death.
In the Elysian Realm, the sims of the Flame-Chasers made sure to keep the circumstances of SAKURA's death a secret from her so she doesn't have to deal with the painful memories. However, in Elysium Everlasting, SAKURA finds a file about the 12th Herrscher, then disappears the same night Elysia's sim died. The others suspect that SAKURA killed her out of anger for keeping Rin's death a secret. Aponia believes SAKURA will exact revenge on her soon due to her being indirectly responsible for the 12th Herrscher's awakening. In actuality, the Herrscher of Corruption is the one killing sims in the Realm. Kalpas proves this to Aponia by showing his corrupted body and urges her to tell everyone that SAKURA is innocent, to which Aponia agrees. Additionally, SAKURA was already aware about the 12th Herrscher, but chose to pretend she didn't. SAKURA was consumed by hatred when she first found out, but she knew there was no use in seeking revenge against Aponia; Not only was revenge futile, but it wouldn't be what Rin wanted.

Sakuponia is a rarepair in the fandom, even when compared to other rarepairs. Aponia's most popular ships such as Elyponia and ApoEden overshadow Sakuponia, and Previous Era SAKURA generally isn't shipped with a lot of characters, contributing to the ship's lack of popularity. Shipper like Sakuponia for Aponia and SAKURA's shared history and the angst potential. With Aponia's ability to see the future and SAKURA being the first to die among the Flame-Chasers.
