SalMona is the friendship between G'Throkka and Y'Gythgba from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fandom.
Canon[]
The Moons of Thalos 3[]
G'Throkka and Y'Gythgba's ship is accidentally hit by the turtles ship, causing both ships to crash into an ice moon. Once outside the crashed ship, G'Throkka is able to find the turtles and Y'Gythgba points out that they're headed towards the irrilium. G'Throkka says that they need to get to the irrilium before they do, but Y'Gythgba wants to destroy them for taking them out of the battle with the Triceratons. G'Throkka says that he can at least respect their courage to go on, but Y'Gythgba says that they should still be destroyed.
The two ambush the turtles and Y'Gythgba says that they will pay for dishonoring them. Fugitoid steps forward and says that it was an accident and that they can help each other. G'Throkka says that would be the best option, but is hesitant to work with outworlders. Leo tries to make peace with a handshake, but in Salamandarian culture that's a sign of attack. The two then fight the turtles and end up causing them to become encased under fallen ice. G'Throkka says that they should dig them up and continue the battle, as freezing to death isn't an honorable way to die, but Y'Gythgba says to let them since they need to get to the irrillium.
They later see that the turtles survived, and G'Throkka suggests that they don't need to be enemies since it was an accident. Y'Gythgba believes that they are working with the Triceratons, but G'Throkka says that they don't know that. Y'Gythgba reminds him that they fought him four to one, calling them coward, but G'Throkka says that they'll reach the irrillium far faster than them. They're almost there when Raphael reaches them, suggesting that they work together. G'Throkka says that he has a heroic heart, but Y'Gythgba says that he's in their way and shoots the ice beneath him, causing Raph to fall. G'Throkka finds it interesting that she chose to shoot the ice instead of Raph, suggesting that he can tell that she might like Raphael. Y'Gythgba tries to say that there's no significance to it, when they're attacked by ice dragons.
The two fight them, but G'Throkka ends up becoming frozen by their ice breath. Y'Gythgba is forced to fight the dragons alone, till she's helped by Raph. Once they're gone, she uses her ray to melt G'Throkka and they join Raphael in rescuing his group from ice dragons. After their craft is repaired, they leave the turtles and head off to continue their fight with the Triceratons.

SalMona isn't explored very often by fan works. As many instead focus on the two's relationship with the turtles, rather than each other. Although there are some who see G'Throkka as a father or older brother like figure to Mona.
