Sanemi Shinazugawa is a character from the Demon Slayer fandom.
Character[]
Sanemi is a major supporting character in Demon Slayer. He is known to be rude, hot-tempered and stubborn. He also easily lashes out, as shown during the Hashira Meeting when he stabbed Nezuko many times. This is mainly because of his strong hatred towards demons for killing many innocent people. Sanemi has lost many friends and family to demons, making him turn out like this.
It is known that Sanemi used to be kinder when he was young and still had his family. He made a promise with his brother to protect their family, since their dad was gone. One night their family got attacked by their mother transformed into a demon. She kills 5 of Sanemi's siblings but as she is about to kill Genya, he tackles her through the window. Genya then runs outside to see if Sanemi is okay, but sees his brother standing over their mother's body and covered in blood. Genya cries and accuses him of murdering her, leading to Sanemi hating Genya. However, it turns out that he was trying to protect his brother by making him quit the Demon Slayer Corps.
Deep down he is a kind person who has trouble expressing his emotions. After the final battle, he opened up more and became kinder to the few people he had a hatred before, such as Giyu Tomioka, Tanjiro Kamado and Nezuko Kamado.
