Sansgore is the slash ship between Sans and Asgore from the Undertale fandom.

Backstory

Asgore is the king of the entire underground, so Sans, like the other residents, knows a little about his personality. In the Xbox One version, it was mentioned that Asgore visited Sans once and laughed for a long time at his joke.

Neutral Route

Papyrus, who is Sans' brother, really wants to join the royal guard, thereby serving King Asgore. Sans was not against this and was with him when Papyrus tried to capture Frisk with the help of puzzles, and then establish himself as a worthy candidate for a member of the royal guard. Many events later in the game, Frisk meets Sans before reaching Asgore. The skeleton tells them that the future of humanity and monsters now depends on them and Asgore. After this, Frisk comes to the throne room.

True Pacifist Route

Sans and Asgore meet directly when the fight with Frisk was interrupted and all their friends came to the barrier. They agreed to live in peace, but then Flowey came and captured them along with their souls. However, the monsters, including Asgore and Sans, did not want to give up and tried to help Frisk by blocking Flowey's attacks, as well as restoring Frisk's HP. However, this did not help and the flower still absorbed the souls of all the monsters. Asgore and Sans were among those who appeared before the main character as lost souls and tried to fight him, but Frisk was able to return them to consciousness. After the battle with Asriel, everything returned to normal. Monsters come to the surface to start a new life.

Genocide Route

As in the neutral route, we were not shown how Asgore and Sans crossed paths in person. But still, Sans was the last obstacle for Frisk when they tried to get to Asgore. Sans wanted to save the monsters from destroying the world by a human child. In the end, the skeleton fails his mission and is killed. Asgore and Sans, like the rest of the monsters, returned to life when Chara took Frisk's soul and restarted the timeline.

Deltarune

Asgore and Sans meet in a store. Kris and Susie watch everything that happens.

Fanon

Sansgore is a popular ship, but it's also considered as a rarepair in the Undertale Fandom due to Sans and Asgore never having major interactions in the game as they only interact in True Pacifist Run. Some fans often interpret them as rivals for Toriel's love, but some people consider that Asgore and Sans aren’t rivals. And that they’re fine with eachother, as Asgore finds Sans' jokes hilarious. Also, there is often content in which they have friendly, and sometimes romantic, relationships, Sansgore is one of the most popular ships for Asgore and Sans, its sometimes shipped along with Aphiel, its main rivals are Asgoriel, Frans, Soriel and Asgorudy, fans also enjoy shipping Sansby, somewhat, people like shipping the three Sans, Asgore and Toriel together, even though the polyship is not that popular as it was.
