Sashanne is the femslash ship between Sasha Waybright and Anne Boonchuy from the Amphibia fandom.
Canon[]
Sasha and Anne have been friends since kindergarten. Anne saw Sasha as one of her best friends and did anything to earn that friendship, even things she didn't want to do.
While their relationship is unbalanced and favours Sasha's opinion over Annes, Sasha still looks out for Anne in her own way. This is first seen when a fellow student named Maggie in their class is ridiculing Anne's Thai food, calling it a "puke bun". Sasha catches this and is able to talk Anne's bully down. Sasha goes on to cheer up Anne on her birthday by hanging out with her. However, Sasha forced Anne to steal from a thrift store, which made Anne uncomfortable. Anne steals a magic box, which causes her, Sasha, and Marcy to be transported to Amphibia, but in separate places.
Anne tries to search for Sasha, and when she does find her, she came to realize that Sasha had been very controlling throughout their friendship. Sasha insists that her new friends, the Plantars, don't matter because they're just frogs, though Anne disagrees, and they fight. Just as Anne wins the duel against Sasha at Toad Tower, the tower itself is destroyed. In the ensuing chaos of everyone attempting to escape from the tower collapsing Sasha falls but is caught by Anne. As Anne struggles to pull Sasha back up she panics and tries to reassure her that she will be okay. Seeing that the tower will collapse if Anne keeps holding on, Sasha tells Anne "maybe you're better off without me" and lets go of her hand. Captain Grime catches her as she falls and carries an injured Sasha away as Anne watches and begins to cry.
Despite their falling out, Anne is still determined to find Sasha once more and bring them both back home.
After this, Sasha trains herself to get revenge on Anne and the Plantars. She tries to inspire Grime by dressing up Percy and Braddock as bounty hunters and attacking them, but to no avail. As General Yunan arrives to apprehend Grime, they attempt to flee into the woods. As they were fleeing, Sasha claims that she's upset because she lost the fight at Toad Tower, but Grime knows better and says that she wasn't upset because she lost the fight, she was upset because she lost Anne and nothing will ever be the same for them again. Sasha acknowledges he's right after almost falling down a cliff, and says the second explanation for her preparation was that she wouldn't lose Grime, whom she now sees as her only remaining friend, which surprises Grime, and the two of them overcome General Yunan together. Grime, now inspired and motivated, decides to raise a new army and fight Newtopia; Sasha looks to the horizon as she caresses the scar Anne gave her on her cheek, promising that she and Anne are not done with their feud.
Sasha, Percy and Braddock plan a presentation with Grime and he explains that Beatrix, the Captain of the West Tower, is his younger sister who he used to taunt and therefore their presentation needs to be perfect. They reveal their proposal that the Toads all band up to knock down King Andrias and take over Amphibia for themselves and the captains are supportive of the idea, but when Grime proposes that his team lead the revolt, the other captains turn him down. Sasha becomes enraged and dejected after hearing that Anne and Marcy are working together without her, she then starts to take her anger on some Toad Soldiers. Captain Aldo informs them that if they can retrieve Barrel's Warhammer, they can take the lead, which Sasha agrees to.
While struggling to take Barrel's Warhammer, Sasha decides to use a rope to take the worm's horn and control it, sending it in the direction of the tower wall, much to the Toads' horror. Sasha is told by Grime to just cease, but she refuses and retorts "not while Anne and Marcy are getting by without me!" . Activating her gem from the Calamity Box, she pulls it off safely, and she and Grime use it to save the worm from crashing into the tower. The Narwhal Worm sleeps outside the tower while the Toads plot their invasion of Newtopia.
Sasha and Grime find Anne and Marcy in a volcanic temple and save them from lava worms. While Marcy is happy to see Sasha, Anne is distrustful of Sasha even after Sasha claims that the reason she came to find Anne was to apologize. The final test in the Third Temple is a giant stone toad monster that has the ability to raise the gravity in the room, and all of the amphibians are too small to approach it. Sasha tells Anne that even though she apologized, she can tell she really doesn't believe her when they get closer to the beast, and Sasha begins to have a genuine heart to heart with Anne. Anne points out that it wasn't just the Toad Tower that was indecent; Sasha had manipulated her her whole life, and Sasha, much to Anne's surprise, acknowledges she was right.
When it looked bleak, Anne gives Sasha a motivational speech. Anne tells Sasha that even though she has her faults, Anne can't help but to admire Sasha's determination, and even after everything She's done Anne still believes in her. Sasha manages to shed her cape, pauldron, and boots, reducing her weight enough to combat the monster in the heavy gravity, and Anne allows her to take down the monster and charge the third and final gem.
After defeating the monster and recharging the gem, Anne and Sasha are about to open the box but Marcy quickly forbids them from opening the box and recommends that they return it to King Andrias so that they can properly use it. Sasha says thank you Anne for trusting in her as they depart, and Anne assures her that they can have a fresh start which makes Sasha glad. Grime ensures that Sasha doesn't forget that they are only using her mates to get a safe way into Newtopia. Sasha claims that Anne and the gang bought her act hook and sinker, but she still displays traces of real regret over what may be coming to Anne and Marcy. This marks another moment of growth for Sasha, as she begins to genuinely want to fix her relationship with Anne, however it's too late to stop the rebellion. Once again questioning her actions, she continues to aid Grime.

Sashanne is one of the most popular ships within the Amphibia fandom, and is pretty well received. However, the fandoms preference shifted towards Marcanne following Marcy's formal introduction in season 2. However during the release of Season 3B many people started preferring Sashanne to them having more screen time together than Anne and Marcy, although, some include Sasha in the Marcanne pairing, creating Sashannarcy. Fans of Sashanne are often drawn to the potential for angst which was highlighted in their messy reunion in the season 1 finale.
It has been compared to Catradora thanks to the similar step-up of two best friends, who later become rivals and fight for opposite sides of an impending conflict. Interestingly, the Season 2 opening adds a fight sequence between Anne and Sasha towards the end which parallels the fight sequence between Adora and Catra in She-Ra and The Princesses of Power's opening sequence.
Before the airing of "Commander Anne", a copypasta started on Twitter: "In 'Commander Anne', Sasha is revealed to be attracted to women." This was a joking way for fans to manifest Sasha having a crush on Anne in the next episode, especially since this was the episode in which they would reunite.
