SatoJirou is the het ship between Rikido Sato and Kyoka Jiro from the My Hero Academia fandom.
Canon[]
Rikido and Kyoka are both students in Class 1-A at UA High School. During the Cavalry Battle, they team up with Toru Hagakure and Koji Koda to make Team Hagakure. Unfortunately, their team does not score enough points and they are eliminated from the rest of the Sports Festival. When the students move into the dormitories at the start of the summer semester, they participate in a room contest. Rikido impresses all of the girls, including Kyoka, by letting them eat a homemade cake. Kyoka votes Rikido for having the best dorm room.
At the start of the winter semester, the first year students participate in joint training. Kyoka and Rikido are placed on the same team, alongside Katsuki Bakugou and Hanta Sero. They both seem rather annoyed at Katsuki's arrogant attitude. As the match commences, the Class A team find themselves trapped by Kojiro Bondo's glue. The Class B team then sends thick pieces of pipe down on their opponents. Rikido attempts to uses his strength to protect Kyoka and Hanta from the brunt of the attack, but Katsuki's Explosion saves them first. The match ends with Class A securing a perfect victory. Mr. Aizawa commends all four of them on their flawless teamwork.
During the Work Study Program, Kyoka studies under Gang Orca and Rikido studies under Shishido. The two Pros come together in a baseball match, bringing along their interns and other Pros. Kyoka and Rikido play on opposite teams, although they do not directly play each other as Rikido is knocked out early from the match. During the Paranormal Liberation War, both Rikido and Kyoka are assigned to the Villa Backup Team. They work together with their fellow students to help bring down Gigantomachia.
When Class 1-A sets out to rescue Izuku Midoriya after he leaves UA, Rikido and Kyoka are seen together. After Kyoka calls out to Izuku, reminding him of the time he helped her during the School Festival, she is seen falling through the air. Rikido arrives to catch her and another falling student, Mashirao Ojiro. Rikido is seen still holding onto Kyoka and Mashirao as he calls out to Izuku, reminding him of their own School Festival memories.
Fanon[]
SaJirou is a rarepair, even for a minor character like Rikido. The ship likely sailed due to Kyoka and Rikido constantly pairing up together, first in the Cavalry Battle and then the Joint Training Arc. Although they do not share many scenes with each other, fans were quick to notice the similarities between the two. Some fans of this ship also like to focus on the archetypes the characters embody: Rikido as the jock with a heart of gold, and Kyoka as the quiet music-lover.
