Sawdora is the femslash ship between Saw and Dora from the Battle for Dream Island fandom.
Canon[]
Battle for Dream Island Again[]
Saw is told that Dora is allergic to non-island foods. Saw appears confused and says that all food are non-island food. She says that Dora is the weirdest contestant. Dora overhears this and becomes mad and slaps Saw in the face. Between BFDIA and BFB, the two end up becoming neutral with each other once again.
Battle for BFDI[]
In "Getting Teardrop to Talk", Dora and Saw along with 6 other contestants form Team Bleh. Saw and Dora are the last people standing on their team. Dora walks up the stairs behind Saw as she gives their basket to X.
They interact directly for the first time in the following episode where Saw realizes that all her companions are dead. Dora appears behind her so she disinterestedly says that Dora is the exception. Later in the episode, Four states the instructions for the challenge: find any of the eight dead contestants inside the jawbreakers. This worries Saw, who tells Dora that they have a big disadvantage compared to the rest because there are only two of them, so her partner walks away, confusing Saw. Nevertheless, Dora reaches the drop zone to proceed to hit it, causing the large candy to fall outside. After that, the Davidian repeats her actions against the candy structure. As a result, it is broken with the release of a dead contestant, Saw's happiness, and Team Bleh's victory.
In "The Four is Lava", Saw and Dora along with Lollipop, Teardrop and Gaty are trapped underground to avoid being burned by the lava. However, that liquid can still get in. Lollipop proposes sending the lava-proof Dora to the surface to talk to Four and break them all out of their earthen prison. Saw raises her voice to say that she doesn't think Four understands Dora's words because she isn't the best at communicating. As a result, Lollipop proposes to Saw to swim over magma because she is made of metal. Saw refuses because she doesn't want to lose her new pink handle, so Dora comes over and chews hard on her accessory to solve the problem, to which Saw thanks her and together swim to the surface. When they reach the surface, Dora quickly places Saw on a stool.
Fanon[]
People began pairing Dora with Saw after the events of Battle for BFDI episode 15 because many viewed Davidian's actions as a sign of genuine concern to help despite her teammates not understanding her strange language. Among the fans, a romantic relationship between them is seen as healthy, since they consider that both would have a special bond because they are quite abnormal girls. Despite that, Sawdora is a rare ship in the Battle for Dream Island fandom due to the few interactions they had throughout the show. However, interest in the couple continues to this day, having a very active community on Tumblr and Twitter, although it is overshadowed by more popular ships such as Sawty and Sawpen.
