Sayakaede is the femslash ship between Sayaka Maizono and Kaede Akamatsu from the Danganronpa fandom.
Canon[]
Sayaka and Kaede have never interacted in canon, but they do interact in Ultimate Talent Development Plan. In one event, along with Ibuki Mioda, they talk about starting a band. They appear to be on friendly terms with each other and are quite excited on starting a group together. Sayaka agrees with Kaede's suggestion on trying to synchronize their different music styles with what they're good at. Sayaka decides to sing while Kaede will play the piano. When Ibuki says that she'll do the lyrics and composition, Sayaka and Kaede just look at each other and wonder if it'll turn out okay.
While playing as Kaede, for the Winter Event, Kaede is performing at Sayaka's Christmas concert. Kaede can meet up with Sayaka before the performance to chat. Sayaka thanks Kaede again for participating in the concert, and in turn, Kaede thanks Sayaka for the opportunity. Sayaka is glad to hear that Kaede is excited to share classical music with Sayaka's fans. Sayaka also says that she is excited to hear Kaede play, and that ever since they became co-stars, their concert was all she thought about. Kaede compliments Sayaka for being cool and composed in comparison to how Kaede is feeling, but Sayaka comforts her, and the two declare they're just going to do their best together.
While playing as Kaede in Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer Camp, she has the option to ask Sayaka about her smile. Kaede tells her that she wishes her smile was as radiant as Sayaka's, but Sayaka tells Kaede that her smile is already beautiful.
Outside of their interactions, Sayaka and Kaede also have some similarities between them. Both girls are quite cheery, bright, and optimistic, complimenting each other. Both also shared the desire to end the killing game/escape, with Sayaka plotting the first murder and Kaede setting up a plan to kill the mastermind and save everyone. However both also failed, while Sayaka was murdered by Leon Kuwata instead and Kaede was framed by the mastermind and therefore executed.
The two were love interests for the protagonist of their respective games. Kaede was Shuichi's implied love interest, while Sayaka was Makoto's love interest. The two also died in the first chapter and were the first girl to be killed. The girls also have some similarties in terms of their appearance, as both wear a school uniform with a short skirt, stockings and quite similar looking shoes. In addition to that, both have hair accessories, similar looking hairstyles and are thin. Sayaka's and Kaede's outfits look more similar when Kaede is in her pregame outfit, since then, both are wearing sailor fukus.

Sayakaede is often shipped due to the fact that both girls are the musical representatives of their respective games, with Sayaka being the Ultimate Pop Sensation, and Kaede being the Ultimate Pianist. Fans think that their talents could go well together, because despite Kaede being more into classical music, she could still provide accompaniment to whatever Sayaka sings. Sayaka and Kaede are also shipped for their similar demeanours, and seeming to play somewhat of a similar role in their respective games. However, due to them being from different games and both of them dying very early on in the series, it is easily overshadowed by more popular ships for the girls, such as Naezono or Leosaya for Sayaka, and Saimatsu or Irumatsu for Kaede. Some fans prefer these two with Ibuki Mioda, due to her being the musical representative of her game, resulting in a polyship between the three girls.
