Scabmione is the het ship between Scabior and Hermione Granger from the Harry Potter fandom.

Canon

In the novels, Scabior and Hermione meet when the trio are captured by a group of Snatchers, among whom is Scabior. When Feneir Greyback calls Hermione "pretty", Scabior is the only one not to laugh and asks Fenrir to restrain himself.

In the films, Hermione meets Scabior face to face when she’s on patrol duty and hears something in the thicket of the woods. She gets up to check and soon sees Fenrir Greyback and Scabior emerging from the darkness. Unable to see her due to the Disillusionment charms, the two walks past her, but Scabior smells something in the air. He stops a mere centimeters from her face to take a better whiff. Hermione freezes, but after a few moments they leave.

When Harry, Ron, and Hermine escape the Death Eaters, Hermione turns her head and sees Scabior leaning against the tree. He greets her and calls her beautiful, and the three run as the Snatchers chase them.

Eventually, the trio are caught by the group, and Hermione pleads for them not to beat Ron, when Greyback hits him. Scabior warns her that Ron will get more if he doesn't behave. He calls her "lovely" and asks for her name, she says she's a half-blood called "Penelope Clearwater". He strokes the side of her neck, then takes a lock of her hair between his fingers and sniffs her.

It is considered a rare pair due to them never interacting in the books and limited screentime in the films and is also viewed as a crackship. Fans point out Scabior’s interest in Hermione, him being the only one who could smell her, and teasing her during the interrogation. Sometimes the ship is viewed as the famous Beauty and the Beast trope.

• In Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1, Hermione ties her purple scarf to tree to help Ron find them if he ever dcomes back. Scabior finds Hermione’s scarf and is later seen wearing it.
• Scabior shows knowledge in the appearance of the interior of the Slytherin common room and its location, meaning that he was probably in Slytherin if he went to Hogwarts. Hermione, on the other hand, is a proud Gryffindor student.
