Scarla is the het ship between Scar and Nala from The Lion King fandom.

Scar knew Nala as the best friend of his nephew, Simba, and that the two cubs are betrothed to one another. When Scar set a trap to have the hyenas kill Simba, he knew that Simba would bring Nala along with him.
In a deleted scene from the original animated film, Scar was pondering on how he could be loved like his brother was. So when Zazu mentioned Mufasa's having a devoted queen, Scar became fixated on the idea and saw many benefits that can come from having a queen of his own. With his mind set on the idea, Nala coming to talk to him in the state of the Pride Lands, that at very moment, got Scar to think that she was perfect for the role. While Nala tries to get Scar to do something, with his actions killing their home, Scar's madness kept him from hearing her. He was mostly focused on asking Nala to be his mate, but Nala didn't want that and claws at him in self defence. When Scar announced to the other lionesses that Nala will be his queen, she refused and this got Scar to banish her, if she doesn't reconsider. The lionesses tried to defend Nala, but Scar gets the hyenas to chase her out of the Pride Lands. After Nala found Simba, she tells him that Scar banished her and the tyrant he had become. Making her wish that Scar never became King.
The Broadway version of this scene has Scar state to Nala that one way or another she will be his. After Nala says "Never" to him, before running out of the den, she leaves the Prides Lands at her own accord. She could no longer stay in the Shadowlands that Scar turned their home into, and plans to return once she finds help to end Scar's rein.

Half of the ship's support comes from the Broadway musical version of the Lion King , with it having a song and scene of Scar trying to make Nala his queen. Giving people the idea to ship them, and like to point out that the Broadway scene was originally a deleted scene from the original film. Even though Scar was in one of his moments of madness from wanting to be adored by anyone, along with the fact that Scar knew Nala as a cub, making him considerably older than her.
Some fan works have depicted Nala as Scar’s unwilling mate. A fan theory with some traction is that Nala is actually the mother of Vitani from The Lion King II instead of Zira.
