Scarti is the femslash ship between Scarlet and Tifa Lockhart from the Final Fantasy fandom.

Canon

Scarlet and Tifa are on opposite sides of the main conflict in Final Fantasy VII. Scarlet is a high ranking member of Shinra, the director of the Advanced Weaponry division. On the other hand, Tifa is member of the eco-terrorist group Avalanche, and later joins Cloud's party in an attempt to stop both Sephiroth and Shinra from destroying the world. This makes Tifa one of the Most Wanted people in the world, and Scarlet and the other members of Shinra are working hard to catch her and her party.

Scarlet and Tifa do not officially meet until Tifa and Barret are captured by Shinra following the events at the Northern Crater. She prepares a public execution for Tifa in Junon, locking her in an execution room where she plans to kill her with poison gas. However, Tifa manages to escape and runs towards the mako canon where she plans to board the Highwind. Scarlet catches up with her, and the two engage in a slap-fight.

Final Fantasy VII Remake

In the Remake trilogy, Scarlet and Tifa meet each other earlier. Scarlet visits the Gongaga Reactor to learn more about the Weapon spotted within it. There she notices Tifa, Aerith, and Yuffie. Seeing her chance to do some damage to Avalanche, Scarlet pilots the Crimson Mare and engages the girls in a fight. She is eventually defeated by them, and forced to retreat.

Fanon

While Scarti was originally not a very popular ship in the fandom, it slowly grew in popularity when the events of the "Remake" trilogy came out. It will likely only grow more popular when Tifa's execution in Junon is adapted into the final game of the "Remake" trilogy.

Fans of the ship are often drawn to the slap fight between the two characters, finding some sort of romantic or sexual tension in those actions. Others just think that Scarlet and Tifa are both hot, and on that merit alone would love to see them together.

There are currently over 18 works for this ship on AO3. It is Scarlet's most popular ship, but does not break Tifa's top ten.
