- From far away, Sea Fairy Cookie turned to face Moonlight Cookie. It was like their eyes met. Right then, Moonlight Cookie felt as if her and Sea Fairy Cookie were feeling the same thing.
SeaMoon is the femslash ship between Sea Fairy Cookie and Moonlight Cookie from the Cookie Run fandom.
Canon[]
Cookie Run Games[]
Sea Fairy and Moonlight once met in the distant past. Sea Fairy had been cursed to turn into sea foam were she to ever release her sword, and was suffering greatly because of this--however, meeting Moonlight "saved" her from her pain, though it's unclear as to how. Sea Fairy has been yearning to see Moonlight again since that day; though the two have been featured together in comics commissioned by DEVSISTERS, those stories are not canon, and there is no indication that they ever met again after that day.
Sea Fairy is often portrayed through canon material (voicelines, official arts, etcetera) to have a strong desire forreaching/loving the moon. Her quotes in the original Korean version of the Cookie Run games are much more focused on love towards someone else, while in English they are more reminiscent of fate. Despite them never mentioning Moonlight directly, many of them reference her missing someone or recalling something in her past: presumably Moonlight, since she is an integral part of Sea Fairy's story. In her Kingdom gacha draw animation, she is shown to be reaching towards the moon when the ice encasing her breaks and she is revived.
In the last three floors of the Tower of Frozen Waves event in Ovenbreak, the background shows Sea Fairy Cookie frozen while she reaches for the moon. It is likely she used the waves she created to try and reach it, and they formed a tower when they were frozen, leading to the creation of the Tower of Frozen Waves. In the event, Sorbet Shark Cookie translates a Memory Fragment where Sea Fairy Cookie says she may never return and wishes she could see the moon again. On the penultimate floor, the final Memory Fragment says what Sea Fairy Cookie calls the Purest of Heart is at the top of the tower, as close to the moon as Sea Fairy Cookie could put it. Peppermint Cookie states that her feelings to the moon must be very strong.
In the official "I Want You Every Day" MV, Sea Fairy and Moonlight are shown to the lyrics "your love brought spring to an endless winter," probably referencing Sea Fairy's feelings towards the moon and the impact it had on her.
In 4.0 update they got a bond together called 'Sea Breeze Flowing Through the Stars'. The bond describes the meeting of Moonlight and Sea Fairy. This meeting happens on the dream world, were Moonlight hears Sea Fairy's singing. Moonlight hears all of Sea Fairy's song. The bond ends after the song also ends, before Sea Fairy can see her.
In update 4.2, they get a costume bond together and both receive the first legendary costumes: Rippling Moonlight and Crescent Guardian. The 'moonlight' is mentioned in Sea Fairy's costume once again. The costume bond story tells a story of how Sea Fairy's longing for the moon is affecting her duty as the guardian of the sea, after which Moonlight Cookie reaches out to her, noticing her feelings and extending her hand out to her. The last paragraph of the story mentions how Sea Fairy and the Tower of Frozen Waves where she resides have mysteriously vanished without anyone knowing of their whereabouts, while a new legend mentions the dark side of the moon now having an ocean. This seems to imply that Sea Fairy has left to stay with Moonlight.
On 2024 April Fools day, Cookie Run releases a small event where cookies are transformed into ball-shaped doughnuts by an unknown curse. When GingerBrave meets Sea Fairy on his quest to learn more about the curse, he discovers that Sea Fairy likes her new look because it's similar to the full moon that she adores so much.

Real-World Inspirations[]
In real life, the moon has a great impact on the ocean--specifically, its tides. The moon's gravitational pull affects the Earth, drawing the waves on the ocean towards it; thus, when the moon is closest to one side of the planet, it will be low tide there, and high tide on the other, and vice versa when it travels to the other side. It is very likely that Sea Fairy and Moonlight's story is influenced by this natural phenomenon, as Sea Fairy tries to reach for the moon--effectively raising the sea and causing low tides where she is--when it's in her sights.

Fanon[]
Seamoon is one of the most popular ships within the Cookie Run fandom, and it is potentially the most well-known as it has existed for quite a while. Seamoon continues to gain popularity as time goes on--particularly with the series' newfound popularity following Kingdom--as more people come to learn about Sea Fairy's love for Moonlight.
On AO3, it is the most written ship for both characters. Fans like to tell the two's tale of Sea Fairy longing for Moonlight, and thus the majority of works written are canon compliant with a good portion like to portray them as being human rather than cookies. Some also like the feature the two in modern AUs. They are also commonly depicted and shipped alongside FireWind.
