Secret Hangout is the friendship between Aubrey, Basil, Kel, Hero, Mari and Sunny from the Omori fandom.
Canon[]
All of them were very close friends during their childhood. Before Mari's death, they would always go to a secret spot in Faraway Town and would often have picnics and outdoor hangouts mostly during summer vacation or during their free time. They met by helping Aubrey with her lost shoe, then Aubrey inviting Basil to the friend group. Though, some were more close than the others namely, Sunny and Basil and Mari and Hero. As Mari and Hero were in love and Sunny and Basil were best friends. Though the group were all good friends, some didn't interact often like Kel and Mari or Hero and Basil. But, still implied to be good friends. The group was very saddened over the death of Mari.
Following the death of Mari, their friendship didn't last long. With her gone, the group began to see each other less often, drifting apart. Sunny moved away from Faraway Town, Basil stayed away due to his trauma, Aubrey became a delinquent of the town and Hero was not his cheerful self anymore. Things had changed a lot, Aubrey found a new friend, Hero focused on school and Kel found new friends by playing sports. Sunny and Basil were still heavily traumatized by the death of Mari. It was almost like the group was coming to an end.
The group began to reunite upon Sunny returning to town. Soon later, Kel and Sunny met with Aubrey in their old hangout spot with her new friends, who was bullying Basil for making black doodles on their past photo album. Thinking that he'd done it to erase all of their childhood memories with Mari. It was later revealed that it was Sunny who did it because of anger. When Kel and Sunny stopped Aubrey from bullying Basil, Aubrey pushed him into the lake. Sunny tried to save Basil but he didn't succeed. Kel then called Hero to save them both and all were reunited in their same hangout spot when they were younger. Although, Aubrey immediately left for what she did to Basil afterward.
A few days later, the group met again in the old hangout spot, Basil excluded. Aubrey apologized for what she did to Basil and shared that she was angry at them for thinking that they didn't really care about Mari when she died. Her thoughts were actually false. The group then gave a group hug as a sign of forgiveness. Aubrey regrets what she did to Basil, she apologized and does truly feel sorry. Then it is shown the group in the hospital, waiting for Sunny to confess what he did to Mari. There are many fan theories that they will not forgive him and Basil and the group will be gone forever.

Secret Hangout is very popular within the Omori fandom. The story centers around their friendship circle, especially when it comes to Sunny and Mari's relationship as siblings. The ship is also popular without Mari because she is deceased throughout the main story of the game. It is viewed mostly in friendship. Some may prefer the group without Mari.
The ship can also be seen as a poly ship because of their strong bonds together and it's where most popular Omori ships are sourced. From HeroMari, Sunburn, Sunflower, Suntan, Cactiflower, Baseball Bat, Maribrey, Sunset and many more. Though it does often get overshadowed by other poly relationships in the fandom. It can also be shipped alongside the hooligans. Some just prefer the poly ship between Aubrey, Basil, Kel and Sunny instead.

- The name "Secret Hangout" came from the group's favorite hangout spot on Faraway Town. Before Mari's death, they would always have picnics near the lake and would often play outdoor games together.
- The group has two pairs of siblings. Mari and Sunny are siblings while Hero and Kel are brothers.
- In the game, you can collect multiple photos that were taken by Basil (some by Mari) in the Photo Album. This is where you can see the past memories of the group during their childhood.
- Because of Mari's death, Aubrey, along with her new friends the "Hooligans", started to hangout in their old hangout spot to remember her times with her childhood friends.
