SeliLana is the het ship between Seliph and Lana from the Fire Emblem fandom.
Canon[]
Seliph and Lana's childhood[]
Seliph is the protagonist of FE4, a noble in hidding, he is the son of Sigurd and Deirdre. Lana is the daughter of Edain (Sigurd's childhood friend), and she has also noble blood. She was born during the war in which Sigurd and her mother took part, or shortly after. At one point Sigurd asked his retainers Oifey and Shannan to leave with Seliph to Isaach, where they will be in safety away from the dangers of the war; it's unknown if Lana was already born and sent to Isaach with Seliph and other orphans, or if she arrived later with her mother Edain. In the following events, Sigurd was betrayed and most of his army is killed with him, but Edain survived and fled to Isaach where Seliph was living. Seliph and Lana were raised together by Edain, Oifey and Shannan alongside other orphans. During their childhood, Seliph spent a lot of time with Lana.
During the war[]
Seventeen years after Sigurd's death, Seliph decide to fight the Empire's oppression and begin to liberate Isaach. Lana decides to join the fight alongside her friends. After that, at some point Seliph sized the Sophara Castle and he has a conversation with Lana. Seliph expresses that he is worried for Lana because she can be hurt and killed by an enemy, but she promises to be careful. During the war, they can become lovers. In the final battle againts the empire lead by their enemy, Julius, if they are lovers they have a conversation. Seliph say that he Lana means a lot to him she answer that she is happy to be with him. Then he comments that they have been close since their childhood, and admits that he has always liked her. Lana told him that she feels so awful to Julia (who is actually Seliph half-sister).
After the war[]
Seliph defeat Julius and became Grannvale king. If Lana is his lover, they wed and she became queen. In the epilogue Julia confirms that she agree Seliph and Lana's relationship. The ending said that empress Lana always stayed close to Seliph and was always smiling.
Fanon[]
SeliLana has a considerable following with a good amount of fanfictions on Ao3 even though it's small compared to the most recent fandoms, with less than one page. This ship main rivals are on Seliph's side, Selilia and Seliph x Tine, Seliph x Patty, Layliph, and on Lana's side Scáthach x Lana is quite popular as well. Curiously this ship is also rivaled by Muirliph since Muirne has a secret conversation with Seliph that Lana doesn't, however Lanaseliph is more popular due to the fact that most players never use the substitutes characters like Muirne, since for her to be playable Edain shouldn't be paired (and pair system is a main feature of the game).
The popularity of this ship exists because she appears as Seliph's love interest in one of the mangas (while in other adaptation Julia fullfills that role, the game has multiple canon pairings therefore it's up to the choice and preferences of the author) and some players considere that despite the fact that all second generation pairing are equally canon depending of the player choice Lana and Muirne are the characters that have the highest love base with Seliph (except Julia who have negative love growth, and Daisy who has that due to a glitch) and therefore she is the easiest character to pair with Seliph. She is also Seliph's childhood friend mirroring Celica and Alm, another couple involving a protagonist, created during the Shouzou Kaga era. It's also liked since Lana has a low self-confidence and Seliph has an impostor syndrome. Among those who pair Lana with Seliph there are also some people who would have liked to paire Sigurd and Edain, but since they couldn't mary Sigurd with someone else than Deirdre, so they pair Lana with Seliph instead.
SeliLana isn't very popular due to the fact that Genealogy of The Holy War never came out outside Japan. However among Japanese fanartist this ship is quite popular. Some fanfictions also show that Lana has a good relationship with her sister-in-law Julia. Most fanart show them during their adulthood but some other show them when they where kids. Some fanarts also show them during their wedding.
The fans of this paring hope that Lana will be soon in Heroes.

- Like most second generation characters, Lana will only appear under special conditions: it is if Edain is paired and survives the war. Otherwise Muirne will take her place in the story.
- In the manga adaptation by Nea Fuyuki, Lana and Seliph are in love.
- In the novelization by Suzuki Lana and Seliph are also paired together.
- In one page the comedic adaptation Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War Gag Paradise, Lana and Seliph seem to be in couple and Julia is jealous.
