Seliph is a character from the Fire Emblem fandom.
Character[]
Seliph is the son of Sigurd and Deirdre, and acts as the main lord for the second half of the game Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War after a timeskip kicked off by Arvis murdering Seliph's father. Seliph seeks to avenge his father's death and retake Grannvale. He also makes two cameos in the side game, Thracia 776, which focuses on the ventures of his cousin Leif, and appears in the mobile spin-off Fire Emblem Heroes.

Like the majority of characters in Genealogy of the Holy War, Seliph's romantic relationships are free to be determined by the player, as he can marry any second-generation female unit, provided they are not already related (i.e. Julia and Altena).
Fanon[]
As a main lord, Seliph is a figure familiar to many in the Fire Emblem community despite his original game having yet to be released officially outside of Japan. It is noteworthy that Seliph was the first character in the Jugdral duology to be selected for a Brave variant in the 2022 Choose Your Legends popularity poll, placing third (behind Awakening's Chrom and Tiki) with 26,301 votes. Seliph could also be seen as a precursor to the character and story of Awakening's Lucina.
There does exist some debate over whether Seliph or his father Sigurd is the true protagonist Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War.
