Chapter 80
While Wolf is at Noryangjin looking for the thief, he locks eyes with Gray across the street. It’s unknown why Gray stared at him since there are many other people around and Wolf isn’t doing anything particular to draw attention to himself, but before Wolf can fight him for breaking his three second rule, Gray boards the bus.
Chapter 84
Wolf is annoyed when Gray is frozen in fear, not knowing that Gray suffers rooftop trauma after Stephen Ahn (Ahn Suho in the Korean version) fell from the rooftop. He says Gray is pissing him off by thinking he'll get away with glaring at him due to having a pretty face.

Chapter 197
When Wolf recalls all the people that’s been bugging him lately, he remembers Gray among them.
Chapter 227
After Wolf orders Ju Hwangmo to get Gray out of there, Wolf defeats the Mok-Ha Duo by himself. Gray eventually escapes from Hwangmo’s hold and returns, intent on getting revenge against Dongha. To Wolf’s surprise, Gray walks straight past Wolf and starts hitting Dongha. Wolf realizes that Gray only sees his target and thinks Gray is like himself. Gray glances at Wolf to see if he would interfere with his revenge again, but Wolf tells him no one’s going to stop him and that he can kill Dongha for all he cares.
Chapter 230
When Wolf agrees to join Eunjang’s side against the Union, Alex expresses reluctance to trust him. Gray reminds him that they’re going up against Donald Na and the Union. They need all the manpower they can get and Gray says to just think of Wolf as a temporary ally.
Chapter 251
Wolf is impressed by how Gray is holding up in a fight against Donald (Na Baekjin in the Korean version) and even dealing damage. When Wolf had met Donald, it hadn’t even crossed his mind to ever fight him.

People ship Gray and Wolf because of their contrasting personalities. Gray is calculative, studious, and meticulous in his fights while Wolf is impulsive and an adrenaline junkie. Gray dodges and makes sure all of his attacks land while Wolf tanks every single hit and fights for the thrill. It is unusual for Gray to stare down someone unless provoked first, so it is out of character for him to stare at Wolf, who he has never met nor does he know of his reputation. Wolf also canonically thinks Gray is pretty and after losing against him, he considers Gray to be a funny guy. Wolf tilting Gray's chin upwards was a rather softer moment for Wolf since he could've easily just have roughly pulled his hair to get him to look him in the eyes. During his fight against Cheongang's #3, Giju Seol, Wolf recalled Gray smashing a flower pot to his head and said that Gray's attacks were much worse compared to Giju's.
People also ship them because in a Summoners War ad, Jimmy approaches Gray to fight and Wolf comes out of nowhere to help Gray. He tells Jimmy that he's dead meat for trying to fight dirty against Gray and mentions the size difference, despite their body's physical size having nothing to do with Summoners' War. Gray doesn't question Wolf's involvement and allows him to team up to take down Jake and Jimmy.
