Serapherd is the het ship between Abel and Emily from the Hazbin Hotel fandom.

Emily and Abel are angels of Heaven, with Emily as a Seraphim who serves as the angel of joy, while Abel is one of the many human souls who ascended into Heaven. Making Emily superior to Abel, but is shown to treat him as an equal. Getting along better with Abel than she did with Adam, since Abel is nothing like his father who had been killing sinners for seven years; something that Emily is strongly against when she found out about the exterminations.

As the second season episode opens with Emily and Abel attending the trial of Sir Pentious, and how to handle the worry that Adam's death has caused Heaven. The two didn't speak to each other for a large part of it, with it mostly having Abel listening to Emily trying to calm everyone else down and to expect that Pentious's ascension into Heaven proves that sinners can be redeemed. Abel tries to help with the peace keeping when he speaks to the court, but had trouble finding the words and it left Emily with an awkward look on her face while he spoke.

When Lute was claiming to be the head of the exorcist army, Abel interrupted and revealed he was the head of the exorcists. Emily confirms this as she explained Abel has a right to succeed the role, from being Adam's son, and that he would handle things more fairly, the statement got Abel flustered.

After the trial as Emily begins to show Pentious the wonders of Heaven, Abel joins her with Peter as the three angels take Pentious to all the fun activities Heaven has to offer. During the song, "Like You" Abel can be seen standing next or simply across from Emily, along with Emily liking arms with both him and Peter. Showing how close they are and subjects that they are friends. The brief churros scene of the song has Abel hovering next to Emily, as he holds a handful of churros in her direction while looking at her with a smile on his face.

After Abel was revealed in the Twitter post Vizziepop did for Christmas 2024, people began to ship him with Emily. With her being one of the three angels to be featured beside Abel in the artwork image. Before Abel's personality was revealed, his kind smile in the image got fans to hope that the two would turn out to be friends.
During the lead up to season two, fans explored the idea of Abel having a crush on Emily or simply sees her as a sister figure. With Abel's father dying at the end of the first season, it got a few people to picture Emily helping Abel with his loss, as that is the kind of person they see her as. Like with St. Peter and Molly after season one ended, there have also been those who place Abel as one of Emily's allies in helping redeemed souls like Pentious.
Because St. Peter was also featured in the Twitter post that started Serapherd, however, it had also created HolyGates and it became Serapherd's main rival ship. Those who didn't want to get involved in ships decided to feature all three angels in a poly ship, so they wouldn't be forced to choose between them or St. Emily. A sneak peek image of Emily and Abel with Peter and Sir Pentious had even got some people to view them as two of Pentious's guardian angels, beside Peter.
