Serena is a character from the Pokémon fandom.
Character[]
In all her appearances, Serena is a Pokémon trainer from Vaniville Town. Depending on the adaptations in Pokémon, she has different major dreams that she herself wishes to achieve. As her name suggests, Serena has a serene personality. Unlike all other trainers, Serena is a "French girl" who loves fashion and therefore changes her image and appearance throughout her journey through Kalos.
In the games, Serena, like all the trainers, collects the 8 medals from her region by defeating their respective gym leaders, tries to become stronger than her friends Calem, Tierno, Shauna and Trevor and dreams of becoming Kalos champion by defeating the Elite Four and finally Diantha, the current Kalos champion.
In the anime, Serena's storyline deviates from that of her game counterpart, as she has a deeper story. In the XY series, initially she searches for what her biggest dream would be, until she finally decides to become the best Pokémon Performer in the world and one of the region's Queen, as she did before trying to become the Kalos Queen. In Journeys series, she improves her performance abilities becoming temporarily a Pokémon Coordinator in Pokémon Contests in the Hoenn region.

In the anime, currently, Serena is involved in a Love Triangle, as Tierno has a crush on Serena, but she has a crush on Ash.

He is her "partner in her life", as they have known each other since childhood and due to the anecdote that happened between the two since they were kids, Serena ended falling deeply in love with Ash. They traveled together throughout the Kalos region in the company of the siblings Clemont and Bonnie. At the end of their journey together, Serena gives Ash a "French kiss" before parting ways with him to go to the Hoenn region.
Tierno

Tierno is one of the three Kalos Rivals along with Shauna and Trevor. In the anime, Tierno already knows Serena through PokéVision before meeting her for the first time, to which he decides to introduce her to Shauna. At first sight, Tierno develops a whimsical crush on Serena, and even proposes to her on multiple occasions. While Serena is not bothered by the compliments, she tends to somewhat "reject" him, as she has her eyes on Ash.
