Shadisper is the het ship between Shadow the Hedgehog and Whisper the Wolf from the Sonic the Hedgehog fandom.
Canon[]
Shadow and Whisper are only acquaintances and have never officially interacted in any Sonic media. However, both of them share similar traits such as their introversion and preference for direct-fire weapons. Both of them are also personally intimate with the pain of the loss of a loved one, leading both of them to use unhealthy coping mechanisms to deal with their grief. In Shadow's case, the death of Maria made him see the world through a more pessimistic grid, leading him to generally distrust others and close himself off. Whisper had a similar experience; in backflashes, it's revealed that she was more talkative before Mimic's betrayal and the subsequent death of her fellow mercenaries. However, unlike Shadow, even in the midst of her trauma she has a stable support group in the form of her Wisps, who console her.
Games[]
Both Shadow and Whisper are playable characters in the mobile game Sonic Dash.
In February 2025, Whisper was added to Sonic Speed Simulator in Roblox, making her a playable character along with Shadow. The two characters can interact and compete if the players choose.
In the upcoming game Sonic Racing: Crossworlds, it is very likely (although still unconfirmed) that Whisper will be a playable character, meaning that she will have some dialogue lines with Shadow when one player hits the other with an object.
Comics[]
Shadow and Whisper are on the same team working to defeat Neo Metal Sonic in Issues #9-#12 of the IDW comics.
In the Tangle & Whisper miniseries, Whisper confides to Tangle that she knows that Shadow isn't responsible for the death of her friends, but it's still difficult for her to be around him. This is because her friends were killed by Shadow Androids, robots that looked similar to him.
Later on in the main IDW series, Whisper is coded to be lesbian and in a relationship with Tangle. Since even the editors of the comic ship Whisper and Tangle together, there is virtually no chance for any competing ship to ever become officially canon, let alone even be hinted at. However, there is still the possibility that Shadow and Whisper could become friends and go on adventures together later in the series.

This pairing is overshadowed by more popular ships, such as Sonadow and Whispangle. There are, however, several artists who enjoy the pairing, emphasizing the emotional angst both characters feel and the road to healing they eventually find by confiding with each other. Others enjoy their cool, quiet and dark aesthetic together. Still others just like to see two trained professionals in action. Some notable artists for this pairing include RebieaZ on Deviantart, number-one-shadisper-shipper on Tumblr, and The Mustard Seed Life. On January 2025, a Tumblr community for this pairing was created. As of April 2025, there are 9 fanfics of this pairing on Ao3.
