Shadomega is the friendship between Shadow the Hedgehog and E-123 Omega from the Sonic the Hedgehog fandom.

Sonic Heroes[]
After finding Shadow's body following the Space Colony ARK crisis, Doctor Eggman placed him in a stasis pod within one of his abandoned bases. To make sure no one freed Shadow, Eggman assigned Omega - the last of his E-100 Series robots - to guard him. Omega eventually powered down during his watch, but not before developing a hatred of Eggman and his creations for seemingly abandoning him. The robot eventually reactivated after detecting Rouge the Bat deactivating Shadow's pod. Believing Shadow to be an Eggman creation, Omega fired at him and the two proceeded to fight until Rouge broke up the fight. After Rouge determines they all want to find Eggman - Omega to destroy his work, Shadow to solve his amnesia, and Rouge to get his secret treasure - Shadow and Omega agree to team up with Rouge.
The three find who they believe is Eggman - but is actually an upgraded Metal Sonic in disguise - and begin pursuing him and eventually finding him at one of his canyon bases. Finding "Eggman" trying to escape in a large airship, Shadow tells Omega to capture him so he can have his revenge, which Omega complies with. The three bring down the airship but find the Eggman inside was a fake. As Omega seethed at his revenge being denied, he saw Shadow looking at a broken robot that resembled him. Before either Rouge or Omega can ask about it, Shadow tells them that it's time to go.
Resuming the pursuit eventually takes them into the heart of "Eggman's" massive airship fleet before "finally" defeating him. As Omega moves to begin destroying the area, he finds Rouge in a room containing stasis capsules that feature more of the Shadow lookalikes. When Rouge dejectedly expresses doubt that the Shadow they were with was the original, Omega optimistically notes the original must be around if there were copies. The three eventually reunite and join three other teams that were also pursuing "Eggman" in witnessing Metal Sonic dropping his disguise and using his copied biodata to ascend into a powerful new form. Shadow and Omega join in distracting Metal long enough for Sonic and friends to finally defeat him. As everyone goes their separate ways, Shadow and Omega look at each other while the latter holds a deactivated Metal Sonic.
Shadow the Hedgehog[]
During the Black Arms' invasion, Shadow and Omega find each other in one of Eggman's bases. Believing Shadow is the original and still trying to find Eggman to learn about his true identity, Omega asks him to help bring down Eggman's airship. Due to the Shadow's internal conflict during the crisis, Shadow can choose to ignore Omega's request and instead go find the Chaos Emerald in the base or even help Eggman in stopping the GUN forces in the base. Regardless of what Shadow chooses to do, Eggman confronts him and Omega in one of his mechs, but not before claiming that they are both his creations, only to be defeated by the pair.
If Shadow had decided to find the Emerald, he and Omega eventually manage to break into the lava core of the base. From there, Shadow - who has now convinced himself that he's an android - can decide to join Omega in pushing further into the base to find Eggman or to assist the scientist by activating the base's defenses. Regardless of his choice, Shadow and Omega confront Eggman and defeat him. Shadow eventually learns the real truth of his creation - involving the Black Arms' leader - and has to confront him by himself. As Shadow rushes to the leader, Omega joins the others in wishing him good luck.
Sonic the Hedgehog (2006)[]
Having been sent into a ruined future by the enigmatic Mephiles, Shadow and Rouge explore and find Omega in a standby mod. The two are unable to get Omega operational and have to abandon him when Sonic and his friends (who were also sent into this future) manage to find a Chaos Emerald. The five eventually find the Chaos Emerald and use it with the one Shadow and Rouge already had to open a portal back to their present, although Shadow stays behind to confront Mephiles. While facing Mephiles, Shadow is confronted by a caged future version of himself, with Mephiles explaining that humanity subdued him out of fear for what he did. Back in the present, Rouge finds Omega and - remembering his state in the future - gives him the Chaos Emerald while also ordering him to assist Shadow. Omega complies and promptly goes into standby mode.
Back in the future, Omega finally breaks out of his standby mode before locating Shadow and stopping Mephiles from taking him out. Now together, Shadow and Omega beat Mephiles back before returning to the present, where they regroup with Rouge and begin discussing their next move. Shadow decides to find out more about what Eggman's plans are while Omega goes out to try and find Mephiles in the present. Omega eventually finds Mephiles and engages him, during which Mephiles reveals that it's Omega that ultimately subdues Shadow in the ruined future. With that said, Mephiles leaves before said hedgehog arrives from his own mission, after which Omega remorsefully reveals to Shadow what Mephiles told him. The two join Rouge in confronting Mephiles in the desert, and later assist in defeating the god Solaris.
Sonic Forces[]
Shadow and Omega are sent by Rouge to investigate one of Eggman's bases when it begins acting up. However, Omega went on ahead by himself and proceeds to wantonly destroy the base. Rouge points Shadow to where Omega went, with the hedgehog claiming he'll be fine on his own. Rouge giggles at the proclamation, noting that Omega said something similar and claiming the two go together like chili and hot dogs. Shadow eventually manages to find a broken-down Omega, along with the one who defeated him - Infinite. Shadow angrily asks Infinite what he did to Omega, but the jackal waves off the demand before using his Phantom Ruby to trap him in a virtual recreation of the base.
As Shadow navigates the space, "Rouge" tells him it's been three months since Omega was destroyed. Upon reaching where Omega was, however, Shadow finds he's not there. That's when "Omega" appears and claims he wasn't defeated but is also clearly acting strangely. Shadow eventually breaks out of the illusion, discovering that "Omega" was also fake, before having to escape the now crumbling base and leave Omega behind. Omega is eventually repaired and rejoins Shadow during the Resistance's assault on Eggman's fortress, the two assisting in dealing with Eggman's army while Sonic defeats him.
Other Games[]
Though Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood is not considered to be a canon game, Shadow and Omega appear to have a much closer relationship in it. Shadow joins Sonic’s team to find Omega, he clearly shows anger if the player refuses to rescue him and states that if something has happened Omega, then he will “be very upset”. He also states that “he was also my friend” which shows how much he cares for his well-being, as this is the first time that Shadow openly admits that Omega is his friend. This is also shown when the player finds Omega in Metropolis and Shadow orders Eggman to be quiet after saying not to bother checking if Omega’s okay. When Tails says that robots are coming, Shadow responds with, “Good. I need to smash something”. Again, this is shown when Tails realizes he can fix Omega, Shadow simply orders him to do it.
Shadow and Omega also team up in Team Sonic Racing, this time not as co-fighters. In Overdrive, Shadow ignores Rouge’s pleas for help after the bat and Omega got stranded in the middle of a race. After the hedgehog lost, he walks toward the bleachers where his two other teammates and multiple Chao are sitting.

Shadow and Omega are trusted team members on Team Dark. Shadow knows he can count on Omega to do his job to the best of his ability, leaving the two on good terms. Though Omega feels the same way about Shadow, he will not hesitate to fight him should he become hostile.
Fanon[]
Shadomega is not much a popular ship in the fandom. It is superseded by more popular ones like Metadow, Mephadow, Sonadow, and Shadouge. Pairings are rarer involving Omega, the robot being a minor character in the fandom. As of January 2022, four fan-made stories for this pairing and another 22 as friends have been written on Archive of Our Own. A handful of fan art of them as a couple also exists.
Fans tend to pair both characters for their teamwork and fortitude. Some would for their signature colors of red and black. Others simply add Rouge to the pair as with official media.
In the Sonic 06 episode of the SnapCube fandub, Omega has a crush on Shadow and is yearning to tell him his feelings. Omega calls Shadow “his baby” and tells the hedgehog that he loves him.
