Shadonia is the het ship between Shadow and Sonia from the Sonic the Hedgehog fandom.

Sonia appears exclusively in Sonic Underground and briefly in the Underground Zone in the Pre-Super Genesis Wave Archie comics. Shadow was introduced two years after the last episode of the TV series.
However, Sonia has made an unintentional cameo in Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing, a game in which Shadow is playable. The creators stated that they mistook a fan art of Sonia for official art of Amy Rose. Shadow and Sonia are even technically considered to be one of the strongest characters in their appearances in media.
Even though the two have never met, Shadow and Sonia both know the pain of loss when Maria and Lady Windermere were taken from them while the two were forced to leave them behind when they made their escape and began to live new lives, as they push through the pain to help keep themselves going. The way Shadow thinks about Maria from time to time is similar to the emotions Sonia feels whenever she thinks about her missing mother. Their painful tragedies are also connected to their visions of Eggman/Robotnik, along with them being acquainted with their counterparts of Knuckles the Echidna. Shadow and Sonia are even capital of using projectile attacks, with Sonia being able to fire lasers from her keyboard while Shadow can cast his Chaos Spears.

This ship is fairly popular. It is among the most popular ships for Sonia, though it is not the most popular ship for Shadow.
A notable DeviantArtist is Shadonialuver, who has been making Shadonia fan art since 2009. She also set up a Shadonia fan club in November 2011. Two fan-fiction series are currently under its Literature category.
Two more notable DeviantArtists are ShadowHRO and SirinaTheHedgehog, who have been making Shadonia fanart since 2019. ShadowHRO also archived a fan fiction by The Lord of Nothing featuring both characters. Some fan art of the ship despite Shadow as Sonia's knight in shining armour, do to her being a princess and the fact that Shadow's Camelot alternate reality doppelgänger is the Arthurian knight, Sir Lancelot. Along with them editing Sonic X screenshots of Sonic and Amy to feature Shadow and Sonia together in the said anime universe, or have the two riding motorcycles together. They are even a couple in a fanmade series reboot of Sonic Underground.
Because Shadow is depicted as Sonic's rival and with Sonia being the later's sister in the Underground Zone universe, some have the blue hedgehog not being too happy about their relationship. While Sonia doesn't care about their rivalry or lets it get in the way she feels about Shadow. Sonia being a resistance fighter and the setting of the Shadow the Hedgehog game, also has fans draw the two fighting beside each other as allies in battle.
