Season 4[]
WET HOT AMERICAN BUMMER
Ava enters the Waverider lab, and sees what she assumes is Amaya. Zari says it's not Amaya, it just looks like her. Ava is confused, and Sara explains that Charlie is a shapeshifter. Ava says hello, but Charlie doesn't give a response back. Ava comments that she doesn't seem like much of a talker, but Charlie kicks the shield and tells Ava to go to hell. Ava asks why they didn't send her to hell like the others and they explain that she's not as harmful as the others. Ava asks why they would keep her though and comes to the conclusion that it's to exploit her for information about the other fugitives.
Season 5[]
MORTAL KHANBAT
The team goes on a mission to a Hong Kong tea shop, and Charlie comments to Ava that she's never been before. She asks what the plan is, and Ava says that she's going to use the same sedative Gideon used on John to knock out the encore. Charlie sees a problem in just waiting for the encore, but Ava explains that the tea shop is owned by The Triad. Charlie plays with a chopstick as she gets bored, with Ava grabbing it out of her hand when her fidgeting starts to annoy her. Charlie says that the encore isn't showing and suggests that they split, when Nate sees that the encore is Ghengis Khan. Charlie doesn't want to stay and longer than they have to, and tells Ava to give her the syringe so she can handle it. Ava does, and Charlie tells Behrad to make a distraction.
After they return to the ship, Ava asks if Charlie up for some undercover work. Charlie is offended that just because she's a shapeshifter it's assumed she'd go undercover. She then goes to get a drink while Behrad goes to smoke. Ava is confused by their behavior when Nate tells her that the only conclusion is that Charlie and Behrad went to "poundtown". Ava is confused before realizing that he means the two of them hooked up.

Chava is a rarepair in the Legends fandom. Mostly due to them having limited interactions for most of the series. As well as the two having more popular ships for both of them. With it being more common in AU's not reliant on canon. It is also considered a rival ship to Avalance and Zarlie. On AO3, SharpeShifter is the eighth most written for Charlie. There are currently 4 written works.
