Shasmine is the het shipping between Jasmine and Shawn from the Total Drama fandom.

To sort the third generation competitors into the two teams that will face each other in the season, Chris blows up the airship that is taking them to the island of Pakhitew: whoever finds a real parachute in the backpacks, will become a member of the Swimming Salmon, who will find himself disparate (and completely useless) objects will become a member of the Confused Bears.
Jasmine saves Shawn.
Jasmine finds the parachute while Shawn doesn't and she saves him and Leonard (another without a parachute). Shawn thanks her gratefully.
This season the contestants have to get food for themselves and Jasmine and Shawn take it upon themselves to do it for their respective teams.
Jasmine and Shawn get acquainted.
Jasmine is helped by her teammate Samey, and stops her from eating a left-handed fruit, a poisonous plant. Shawn attends the scene and explains the effects to the cheerleader. Jasmine is in awe of the amount of food found by the boy and compliments him and when she asks why he sleeps in a tree too (Jasmine doesn't use her team's shelter because she's claustrophobic), he replies that she's safe from zombies. Jasmine laughs amused at the answer, unaware that Shawn is serious.
The three cross paths again for the same reason the following morning and Samey realizing the attraction between the two decides to leave them alone. Shawn in the confessional claims to find Jasmine perfect because of her cute looks and survival skills and her healthy fear of the undead (Jasmine brings up the subject as a joke, but Shawn believes she is serious).
During the challenge, Shawn follows the Aussie and is amazed at how quiet Jasmine can be even walking on ground full of rocks and twigs. The boy reveals in the confessional that he is reluctant to start a relationship since, in zombie movies, the girl will always turn into a zombie and her boyfriend would not be able to destroy her because of her feelings for her. Jasmine later leads Amy and Samey to Shawn's hideout and tells Samey how to throw the balloon at him to win the challenge (they eventually lose due to bickering between the two sisters).
The next day the two friends run into Shawn again, now accompanied by his teammate Dave. Jasmine immediately goes to greet him but this time the boy doesn't stop to chat, for the reasons mentioned above. Dave notices the attraction between the two and finds it strange.
It is precisely because of Dave that the relationship between the two crosses a critical point. One night Shawn watches Jasmine as she admits in the confessional that she's the perfect girl for him. However, he also thinks that loving her means that he must protect both her and himself from zombies. Shortly after he notices a monstrous figure walking in the woods, and believing it to be a zombie, runs away without waking the Australian (in reality it is Amy, one of the previously eliminated competitors, swimming back on the island to take revenge for her elimination and who during the journey it was covered with plants). Shawn later regrets not waking the girl up. Not seeing him at the time of the challenge, the latter worries and the concern increases Chris announces that Shawn will be eliminated if Chef does not find him before the challenge.
Due to her distancing, Jasmine fails to help her team during the challenge and is beaten by Dave, continuing to wonder why she's so worried. Meanwhile, Shawn decides to ask Jasmine out if she hasn't been transformed. She is extremely happy when she is spotted and brought back by the other team members unharmed.
Shawn hits Jasmine,
After his recovery, it's Jasmine and Shawn's turn to compete and for fear of him being eliminated, Jasmine decides to lose on purpose. To motivate him, Dave talks to Shawn and tells him that the other team has been turned into zombies. Shawn is saddened that he was unable to save Jasmine and brutally hits her with her stick, causing her to fall into the water.
When Shawn hears Jasmine speaking normally, he realizes she's not, a zombie. In the end, Shawn's team wins and Jasmine is pretty sure she'll be eliminated from the competition. Shawn, understood the misunderstanding tries to darken, but the girl ignores him and after angrily telling him that she had lost on purpose so as not to eliminate him, she goes away angry. Shawn is very impressed and decides to think more from the heart, just as Jasmine decides to do it less.
Eventually Jasmine is not eliminated and Shawn who spies on the other team's elimination ceremony is relieved: however, Samey, Jasmine's best friend, is eliminated, which probably increases the Australian's hatred towards the Canadian.
Dave, who has now become friends with Shawn, has fallen in love with Sky, a teammate of theirs, so much so that he wants her more than the cash prize and when he asks him if he would give up the million dollars to be with his "true love", Shawn is moved. Inspired by the romantic gesture of his friend, Shawn runs to look for Sky, to tell her to go to the romantic surprise picnic organized by Dave and then go to declare himself to Jasmine.
Jasmine refuses to accept Shawn's apology and flowers.
He brings her a bouquet of flowers but Jasmine, still angry about the events of the previous episode, throws her flowers away and tells him to stay away from her tired of the conflicting messages he's sending her. When he learns about her claustrophobia, Shawn finds it sad and tries to make her understand that she shouldn't end up in total panic.
Sky later changes team with Max a member of the Swimming Salmon, and when the cree declares that she will miss Dave, the Aussie tells her she can't have feelings for one of the rival team and tells her that she had a crush on Shawn which surprises Sky but is now over. Shawn watches their conversation from a tree and thinks the five they share is sealing a double date deal; Jasmine with him and Dave with Sky. He acknowledges that Jasmine is still mad at him and is determined to win her back, but she continues to ignore his attentions.
Chris decides to disband the teams and the first challenge is to eat a disgusting soup. Shawn tries to encourage Jasmine during the challenge, but she yells at him that she doesn't need him. The second challenge is hide and seek and Shawn finds what he believes to be a great hiding place and offers it to him, but she refuses, suspecting that he will come back to take her out when Sugar the winner of the first challenge catches him and he has to help him. When he hears Sugar call Jasmine's name and Jasmine is almost captured by the other contestants, Shawn mistakes their food poisoning for a zombie transformation. Remembering how last time he didn't help the girl, he decides to behave differently. He uses a vine to reach her and attempts to lift her, but her weight knocks them both off. Jasmine begs him to go on without her, but he rejects her.
Shawn urges Jasmine to save herself, before sacrificing himself to save her.
Shawn then takes her to the nearest tree and when the contestants start climbing the tree, Shawn tells her to save herself at the earliest opportunity and jumps off the tree, knocking the contestants down with him and winning Jasmine immunity.
Jasmine finally forgives Shawn and kisses him on the cheek.
At the elimination ceremony, Jasmine thanks him for saving her and admits she was wrong about him, calling him a "good guy". She goes for a kiss, but Shawn pulls away from her begging her not to bite him. She kisses him on her cheek, which makes him blush.
When the island turns out to be mechanical and goes haywire, Chris suggests that to disable the self-destruct the competitors split into pairs, Jasmine and Shawn run off together without even questioning their team status. In the confessional, it is shown that everyone believes their partner is near perfect, the only exceptions regarding zombies, Jasmine believes Shawn needs to overcome her fear of zombies while Shawn thinks Jasmine should start believing in their existence.
Before they take the underwater route to the control room, Jasmine offers Shawn advice on how to deal with the sharks and as they pass laser grids they find themselves close and succumb to passion by kissing and setting off alarms, which unleash an army of sharks on them. "killer robot animals".

When Shawn destroys Chris-like robots, Jasmine says in the confessional that she must stop complaining about her boyfriend's fear of her and accept him for who she is of her. She later sighs romantically as he annihilates another robot.
Shawn throws a picnic for Jasmine inspired by Dave's, and they reach an agreement to split the million dollars when they face off in the last two. Throughout the episode, even though he doesn't admit it in front of her, Shawn insists he needs every dollar to build a zombie shelter. Despite this, they work together in the challenge and when fear of crocodiles stops him, Jasmine kisses Shawn on the cheek, which brings him back to reality. They even save each other's lives as they traverse the 150-foot jump.
The climbing part initially starts off well for the couple, but Jasmine falls and gets entangled on a branch. Shawn goes to help her, but she asks him to go ahead and win. Shawn complies, eventually gaining immunity. Jasmine instead ends up being eliminated due to Sugar.

At the elimination ceremony, she tells him that she hopes she wins. They share one last kiss before Jasmine is loaded into the cannon and fired away from the island, with Shawn sadly waving at her with his hand.
Shawn is sad as he looks at the branch of the tree where Jasmine slept. He says in the confessional that he was not happy to see her eliminated, he is relieved that he can now have all the money for himself if he wins (instead of sharing it with her).
Shawn and Jasmine meet again.
The two finalists (Shawn and Sky) must select a random helper from among the eliminated and Shawn draws his girlfriend. The two are delighted to see each other again, and they hug. Jasmine is sure that winning against Sky and her sidekick Dave will be simple and as always, their teamwork proves effective, even though she is the girl doing most of the work. When Jasmine pulls out their deal, Shawn regretfully laments that she's the worst aide and tries to find excuses not to split the money.
Jasmine gets mad at Shawn again.
After the first part of the challenge, Chris shows some footage of the respective finalists' confessionals. Jasmine looks at Shawn's confessionals, where he talks badly about Jasmine's plan for her money (actually stupid, but so is Shawn's) and is reluctant to share them with her. After hearing what she said, she loses faith in him again. However Shawn protests that she has changed her mind since then, as Jasmine has done most of the work, but Chris doesn't show this confessional. Jasmine then takes on the role of hindering Shawn and Sky in the last match with Dave if neither of the two finalists wins the million it will go to the two of them.
Jasmine admits that she doesn't want Shawn to win, however, she doesn't want him to get too badly injured and is worried about him during the challenge. When it appears that Jasmine and Dave are getting the money, Shawn claims he is happy for her. Jasmine is particularly concerned after a tree falls on him and Sky, as well as when they both slide to the finish buried under the snow. In both endings, Jasmine is delighted when the winner reaches out to her and frantically runs to Shawn's aid who gives her a flower, apologizing and offering to split the money if she still agrees. To which Jasmine responds by kissing him.
Jasmine forgives Shawn again.
In Sky's finale, Jasmine pulls Shawn out of the snow and forgives him before the two kiss each other. After the announcement of the winner, the couple leaves the island with Chris and Sky in a helicopter.
Fanon[]
The ship sailed as a result of Jasmine and Shawn's canon relationship. Being the only official couple of the season, this is the most popular canon relationship of the third generation cast by default. Although Skave also gets a lot of ship tease, its controversy makes Shasmine more popular among the fans.
The fact that both share some similarities, such as their survival skills, made a lot of fans ship them together. However, the couple isn't universally liked. Even some of their fans admit that the conflict between the two from episode 5 to episode 9 dragged on too long, caused both to be more in background, and made Jasmine rather unsympathetic in the eight episode. Another complain is that the relationship completely took over Jasmine's plot about her friendship with Samey. Finally, Shawn being easily forgiven by Jasmine in Sky's ending despite not doing anything to make up to her in this version also gained a negative feedback.
In fan fictions and fan arts, creators often tend to bring up their survival skills, presenting the two in some dangerous situations. Sometimes, Samey is added as a part of the trio.
