Shihoan is the femslash ship between Shiho Hinomori and An Shiraishi from the Project SEKAI fandom.
Canon[]
Shiho and An are both second-year students, going to different schools, and members of different groups. Shiho is the bassist of Leo/need and An is a member of Vivid BAD SQUAD.
Screaming?! Welcome to the Forest of Wolves![]
The two interact in the first side story of Shiho's card story. Shiho approaches An at Miyamasuzaka's courtyard, scaring the latter. Shiho introduces herself and asks if they could talk. Shiho then explains to An that the wolf who chased after her was actually Kohane and apologizes on her behalf. An sighs and then feels bad for misunderstanding and thinking that being chased all around the school by the wolf was part of the haunted house's experience. While listening to An talk, Shiho decides to ask if An is scared of monsters. An stutters how she can handle them better than ghosts but needs to mentally prepare to face them, leading to Shiho thinking that An is easily scared. An then expresses that she feels terrible for running away and making Kohane feel really sad for not being able to enjoy the school festival which they all worked so hard on and were so hyped for. Shiho then points out Kohane might feel disappointed in herself if An isn't having any fun and that An should know it well. Shiho smiles and says An still has plenty of time to enjoy the festival and encourages her to talk to Kohane after she [Shiho] brings her to the courtyard. An smiles and thanks Shiho and then compliments her, before asking if Shiho could relay her message to Kohane as she's coming to over to the courtyard.
In This Singing City[]
The two cross paths by chance at Vivid Street during the event, Shiho leaving her amp at a music store nearby for repairs and hearing An singing nearby. Shiho is an individual who takes music very seriously and isn't afraid to point out places for improvement but she's shown to be nothing short of impressed with An's talent for singing and how she's improved since the last performance Shiho had seen of her. The two don't yet talk, Shiho going on with her day after observing An's talent, it doesn't stop Shiho from continuously thinking back on the other (especially during Leo/need's band practice the day after) An's performance inspiring Shiho to try harder with her bass playing. The two meet again soon after when Shiho goes to Weekend Garage to pick up some flyers from Kohane in Honami's stead, An naturally being there working since her father owns the shop.
Shiho is quick to notice An's odd demeanor, which is due to her growing insecurities in regards to her skills, and voices her confusion to Miku after noticing her performance didn't contain as much power as when she overheard the other practicing a few days prior.
They have yet another chance meeting when Shiho drops by the supermarket on her way home from solo practice for groceries due to her mother forgetting to buy them, at the same time An is also there buying stuff for Weekend Garage for her father. Shiho voices how she's unfamiliar with the layout of the store and An is quick to ask what she's looking for and helps guide her to the correct aisles in order to finish her shopping. Whilst Shiho is wondering whether she should ask the other why her singing wasn't as powerful when she sang at Weekend Garage, An spots an advertisement for a flower viewing goldfish exhibit event with free entry and invites Shiho to check it out with her. The two seem to enjoy themselves as they admire the exhibit and talk about the fish before they run into Ena who recognizes An, never having met Shiho prior.
When Shiho goes to pick up her amp that has finally been fixed, she has yet another chance encounter with An who is practicing with the same intensity as the first time, Miku also points out how it's distinctively different from her singing at the cafe and with her help Shiho is finally able to realize why it sounds different - because it's as if An is trying to catch up with something which reminds her of her own bandmates. An wraps up her practice for a break, very visibly not content with herself and is about to go buy a drink but instead is greeted by Shiho who offers an unopened drink to her. Shiho praises An and finally verbalizes her thoughts on the powerful vocal performance An gave, once again linking the similarities between her attitude and that of Leo/need who are determined to catch up with Shiho in terms of skill. An finally opens up on her insecurities after Shiho manages to accurately pinpoint her feelings, expressing how she fears she's falling behind but tries to push those thoughts aside - Shiho in response tells her that she shouldn't allow her feelings to go to waste and that they have the potential to push her and her group even further which causes the other to visibly relax, likely in relief.
Shiho then offers to play the song she has planned for her one-man live for An, saying that she doesn't like taking without giving in return. An shows admiration for Shiho's commitment to what she does, and upon feeling refreshed by the other's playing says they should do a song together ("if I hear a song that's that cool, of course I'm gonna wanna sing along!") and Shiho, wanting to play something with her too agrees. The two improvise multiple songs together, even being seen by Nene who was passing by in a stump and spreading their inspiration and energy to her, and by playing together they found the courage to try out different techniques and expand upon their usual style - helping eachother try new things and feel more confident. Nene approaches and joins the two, also pushing herself to be more confident and by the end of it Shiho invites them to her upcoming one-man live and reflects on how these encounters had given her strength for said live.

Fanon[]
Prior to the "In This Singing City" event Shihoan was a very rarely spoken of ship, but with the release of said event the pairing gained more attention due to it being their first official meeting in an event story, though it's still considered a rarepair. Many who were already fans of the ship were very excited to see them interact and have the ship gain more fans and appreciation. It's still heavily overshadowed by Anhane on An's side and Polyneed and Ichishiho on Shiho's side, especially considering how long it took for the two to properly interact within canon.
Many enjoy how Shiho was able to help An with some of her insecurities, the similar passions the two have which they managed to bond over and how domestic them grocery shopping together felt. Not to mention the two immediately having two cards where they're shown interacting.

- Their ship is referred to with the "🍜🎧" emojis.
- An is 160 cm tall whilst Shiho is 159 cm, giving them a height difference of just 1 cm.
- Due to only recently interacting the two don't have a Kizuna Rank together, but they likely will gain one in the future.
- They both have references to the other in their cards from the "Swaying, Fluttering Maidens" gacha, Shiho having a purple fish that matches An's card color scheme whilst An has green flowers matching Shiho's card color scheme. The cards also seem to consist of colors complementary to the other's card.
- Both of them are pursuing music similar to their fathers', Shiho's father played guitar (though Shiho plays bass instead) in a band and An's father was a well-known street musician.
