ShimGlim is the femslash ship between Sunset Shimmer and Starlight Glimmer from the My Little Pony fandom.
Canon[]
Sunset and Starlight are redeemed unicorn villains who had took control of a school and village until Twilight stumbles across them on separate occasions, and offered them her and the rest of the Main Six's friendship. Since then Sunset and Starlight have atoned for their actions, help villains to reform through friendship as well and that others don't repeat their mistakes, along with them befriending the Trixie Lulamoon of their pony and human worlds. Before the two official met in "Mirror Magic", Sunset has heard a few things about Starlight from Twilight when they write to one another from a magical journal, while Starlight has been told about the human world Sunset now resides in beside the human counterparts of the Main Six.
When Sunset was writing to Twilight about her concerns about the Equestria magic that has escaped into the human world and had run out of journey pages, she gets asked to come back to the pony world where she is greeted by Starlight, who a dizzy Sunset mistakes for the princess. Starlight was asked to give Sunset a new journey since Twilight's friendship mission prevented her from doing it herself. Once Starlight told Sunset her name, the later asks Starlight if she is the student Twilight has told her about and after Starlight confirms it she gives Sunset her new magical message journal. Because Sunset hasn't been in her pony body for so long she forgets about the differences between her two forms as she uses her human form habits, like walking on her two back lags and forgets about her unicorn horn while trying to use her front hooves like their still hands. Until she notices the odd look on Starlight's face, as she has never seen a pony walk like that before today and gets Sunset to start walking like a pony again, along with Starlight reminding Sunset about her horn as she hands her the journal. After Starlight tells Sunset the reason why Twilight couldn't greet their visitor herself, it gets Sunset to think about her earlier question to the said princess as she asks Starlight how Twilight drops everything when trouble appears and because the princess wouldn't be back anytime soon Sunset feels that it is time for her to head back to the human world. Before she could enter through the portal Starlight asks Sunset what the other world is like and even though Sunsets does her best to describe it, Starlight gets the idea to see it for herself as she asks Sunset if she can go there with her. At first Sunset wasn't sure if Twilight would like the idea of her bringing Starlight back with her, but since she has never seen a human counterpart of Starlight there and feels like she needs a distraction, Sunsets aggress to bring Starlight back with her as long as she lays low.
Once they were in the human world Sunset helps Starlight adjust to her human body by telling her the new names of her front and back hooves, as well as getting her to walk like a human than a pony, Starlight smiles at Sunset as she reassures the later that she will make a pretty good distraction as a joke. The two then head to the mall to meet up with Sunset's friends and as Starlight eats some ice-cream Sunsets tries to call her friends but none of them were answering her. Seeing that Sunset is still troubled with the problem she wants to ask Twilight about, Starlight offences her help on the subject as Sunsets explains that rouge magic is on the loose in her world and is worried where and when she encounters the magic she faces with her new powers. Even though the question sounded like a tough one to answer Starlight goes advice Sunset to trust that things will work out in the end and how worrying about what might happen will get her to miss out on the good things that are happening. Sunset comments Starlight's advice with a smile since Twilight's students giving her advice is one of those good things. Feeling better and less worried about her friends, Sunset takes Starlight to the theatre hoping that they'll find them there.
When they got there, however, Sunset sees Juniper and gets Starlight to hide from her. After Sunset explains who Juniper is she gives Starlight her bag for safe keeping, before she goes to confront Juniper on what happened to her friends. Only to have Starlight witness Juniper lock Sunset in the magic with the others, who become aware of Starlight's arrival from Sunset and how she has faith that Twilight's student will be able to save them. After the mirror's magic transforms Juniper, Starlight takes it from her but ends up cracking it and places Sunset and her friends in danger. Despite this and has no idea that the mirror is in Starlight's hands, Sunset still has faith that Starlight will be able to save them as she asks her new friend to hurry from within the damaged mirror. Knowing that she alone can't free them, Starlight offers Juniper her friendship as she reasons with her to do the right thing. Once Sunset and the other were freed, Sunset hugs Starlight and commends her for saving them like she believes she would. The two then tell Juniper that they and Sci-Twi have made their own mistakes but were still able to be forgiven for them.
Later at the stature that holds the portal back to Equestria, where Starlight spends sometime with Sunset and her friends who she has just got to know and is sad to leave them so soon. Luckily Sunset gets a journey message from Twilight saying that Starlight can stay with them for a few more days, since they are great teachers. Happy that they'll be able to get to know one another more, Starlight asks Sunset if she'll be able to look on the positive and Sunset reassures her that she can by quoting the advice Starlight gave her today.

The two being friends with Twilight and Trixie in their two separate worlds has got fans to add them in some of their ShimGlim group fanart, as well as them drawing pony Sunset and Starlight as Alicorns or simply focus on their human selves.
While ShimGlim isn't as popular as SunsetSparkle or Twilight Glimmer are, the ship still has a few loyal supports on AO3, FanFiction.Net, Tumblr and other fan supporting websites.
