Shinhyeok & Bora is the friendship between Lee Shinhyeok and Jung Bora from The Villain Profiler fandom.

Canon[]

Shinhyeok Lee and Bora Jung are classmates and friends who live in the same neighborhood.

File 5: Golden Time
Shinhyeok remembers a time when he went over to Bora’s house and Bora’s Mom fed him. Bora’s Mom tells Shinhyeok to eat. She’s upset that not only does Shinhyeok’s father beat him everyday, but he doesn’t even feed Shinhyeok. Bora offers him more food and smiles warmly at him. The flashback ends.

Bora’s Mom asks Shinhyeok if he has seen Bora. Shinhyeok asks when did Bora go out and what for. Bora’s Mom says she left around 4:30 PM to feed Cream, the stray cat, in front of their house. When she calls, Bora always comes right home, but while she was briefly at the store that afternoon, Bora disappeared and is no longer answering her phone. Shinhyeok tells her to report it to the police since it’s been an hour. He says if it’s a kidnapping, murder probability within three hours is 75%. Bora’s Mom calls 112 and reports her missing. The dispatcher dismisses her saying that kids her age often forget to call their parents while out playing.

Shinhyeok thinks that the probability is low, but she may have coincidentally met a friend and went to their house, and her phone battery might have coincidentally died. He thinks that considering Bora’s routine of feeding Cream at the fixed time of 4:30 PM everyday, the likelihood of her leaving home with an insufficient phone battery is almost zero. The neighborhood has almost no CCTV and there are many blind spots where crimes can occur, so it is reasonable to consider the possibility of kidnapping.

As Shinhyeok runs off, he recalls a memory of Bora. Bora asks Shinhyeok why he didn’t come to school today, but Shinhyeok swats her arm away when she grabs his jacket and says to leave him alone. Bora is horrified when she sees Shinhyeok’s bruised face. When Shinhyeok tries to run off after his stomach growls, Bora grabs him again and invites him to her house to eat. The flashback ends.

File 6: Reaction
Juntae Oh starts to walk towards Bora, who is unconscious, but is interrupted by Shinhyeok loudly banging on the gate. Shinhyeok says he is supposed to play with Bora and asks if she’s still at his house. Juntae glances around and acts oblivious, claiming that Bora’s not there. Shinhyeok lies and says he saw her going in with him and asks if she already went home. He tries to peek into Juntae Oh’s property, but he quickly moves to cover his view, confirming that he is the perpetrator.

Junate Oh demands to know what he saw and grabs Shinhyeok by the front of his hoodie. Shinhyeok looks over to the side of the road. When Juntae Oh looks in that direction, he is shocked to see a police car nearby and quickly lets go of him. He says that Bora told him not to tell anyone that she’s at his house and that she’s playing with a baby kitten right now. Shinhyeok notices he’s lying. Juntae Oh invites Shinhyeok to also come in and see the kitten. Shinhyeok enters through the gates and as soon as Shinhyeok is in the yard, Juntae Oh shuts and locks the gate. He tells him to go ahead inside and that Bora will be very happy to see him.

File 7: The Unforgivable
After knocking Juntae Oh unconscious and attracting the attention of two police officers, Shinhyeok rushes inside and frees Bora. He calls the second police officer into the house and reveals Bora to be the reported kidnapped child and the perpetrator is Juntae Oh. He says that Juntae Oh tied up Bora’s hands and feet with tape and all the evidence, fingerprints, and DNA are still there. He tells him to call the forensics team for investigation, saying he’ll contact Bora’s Mom first and ordering the cop to call 119. As Juntae Oh is arrested, an ambulance and more police cars arrive.  Shinhyeok watches as Bora tearfully reunites with her mother.

At Daehan University Hospital, Bora is hospitalized and lying in bed. Bora’s Mom and Shinhyeok sit beside her. Bora thanks Shinhyeok and says if it weren’t for him, it could have been really terrible. Shinhyeok says it’s because Bora bravely endured well. He tells Bora to just think of everything up to now as a bad dream and to only think good thoughts from now on. When Bora's Mom mentions his little sister, Hyejin, Shinhyeok collapses to the ground, worrying Bora and her mother.

Fanon[]

People ship Shinhyeok and Bora as friends because when Shinhyeok showed up to school everyday covered in bruises from his father beating him, Bora was the only one who ever showed concern about him. When she heard Shinhyeok’s stomach growl, she didn’t shame him and instead invited him over to her place to eat.

When Bora was kidnapped, Shinhyeok didn’t hesitate to help look for her. He was desperate to find her and directly confronted the kidnapper, Juntae Oh, on his own. He comforted and hugged Bora after freeing her.

Bora was thankful for Shinhyeok saving her. She and her mother both showed concern when Shinhyeok suddenly collapsed upon remembering his sister.
