Shivrye is the femslash ship between Frye and Shiver from the Splatoon fandom.
Canon[]
Frye and Shiver are both from Deep Cut. They feature in Splatoon Three as the new idols. Alongside them, is Big Man who is the third member. Deep Cut seems to be the only idol group that has three members in Splatoon. As, Off The Hook and Squid Sisters only have two members.
Shiver seems to be very different from Frye; for one, they both disagree on many things. And, Frye seems to be more playful than Shiver. Shiver seems to be more uptight; and slightly sadistic. Frye seems to express her outgoingness through her clothing, and Shiver does the opposite. Their color schemes are also different; Frye is yellow, and Shiver is a bluish purple.
Shiver is also an octoling, while Frye is an inkling; they are both opposite species, and in some cases, rivaling species. As, while they are not at war as much anymore, octolings seem to be looked down upon by inklings.
Frye and Shiver resemble the members of Off the Hook a lot. Frye resembles Pearl's outgoingness and lively attitude. Shiver also resembles Marina's uptight personality; not so much her shy personality. It should also be mentioned the two are the same species; Frye is an inkling like Pearl. Shiver is also an Octoling like Marina.
Story Mode[]
Return of the Mammalians[]
Frye and Shiver both feature in Story Mode; along with Big Man. All three members of Deep Cut are bosses, and serve as enemies for a specific period. In the end, they serve as allies as they help the main character with getting into space to stop Mr. Grizz from destroying the planet.
Fanon[]
Progressively, as Splatoon 3 gained popularity, Shivrye was picked up by more fans. It is one of the popular ships in the fandom, with none of it's rivals competiting with it's popularity. Shared with all ships in Splatoon, fans complain about the ships being focused on more than the game, so Shivrye recieves a ton of backlash. Shivrye also has no canon material towards their relationship like Pearlina does, so the ship faces even more backlash. Some fans aim for the poly ship between Shiver, Frye, and Big Man or duo ships with Shiver and Big Man or Frye and Big Man, of course, there are also other notable ships like Shirie with Shiver and Marina and Fryl with Frye and Pearl, but Shivrye seems to be the most popular ship for Shiver and Frye.

Trivia[]
- They are the only female members of Deep Cut.
- A group of sharks is called a Shiver, and a group of eels is called a bed of eels or a fry of eels.[1][2]
- These might be what Shiver and Frye's names were based off of, though, Frye's name is not exactly what a group of eels is called.
