Showtime is the het ship between Caine and Pomni from the The Amazing Digital Circus fandom.

Canon[]

Pilot[]

Pomni enters the digital circus during the theme song running. She accidentally collides with the group, sending a domino effect and interrupting the song. Jax points out to Pomni, asking Caine if she is a new member or an NPC of his. Caine appears excited acknowledging a new human entered the digital realm. Pomni desperately claws and stretches out her face to remove the headset she wore to enter the game to no avail. Freaking out, she loudly swears, "What the [boing!] is going on?!". She is confused about why she had been censored; Caine steps in and clarifies that profanity isn't allowed in the circus due to it being appropriate for all ages.

He provides an introduction to her, explaining she had walked into a "world of wonders" where anything can happen with the exception of swearing. To test this statement, she continuously swears, being censored each time. She quires him on how to leave, which ultimately stumps him. The other trapped members declare that exiting is impossible; she almost loses herself hearing this information but enters a state of denial, dismissing her predicament as a mere dream. Jax asks Caine if he has an adventure planned for the arrival of Pomni; Caine claims he wishes to give the new band member a tour of the grounds prior to proceeding with an event.

He grabs her by the shoulder and whooshes outside of the circus at an alarming speed, dragging Pomni along with him. He introduces the tent to her (the structure they had previously been in), which is where they will be performing all of their fun activities. He continues to explain the activities but most of them are redacted by his momentary glitch. He quickly drags her further away from the tent to give her a full view of The Grounds; Pomni asks if this is all he needs to show her since the map looks quite small. He proves her question incorrect by dragging her out into the void. He declared that nobody ventures out into the void and gives her a scary look when claiming not even he is aware of what lies within it. Before she can comment, she is returned to The Grounds; Caine continues his previous statement by saying that everyone stays within The Ground's boundaries so his many eyes can track the members.

Pomni is visibly uncomfortable by his spooky gesture and his many floating eyes. They are suddenly interrupted by the Moon, who confesses her love to Caine. The former yelps and motions to Pomni for them to leave before the "Moon gets frisky." For a brief moment, Pomni identified an exit and is about to mention it to Caine prior to being yanked back into the tent. The continuous sudden motion caused her to puke violently onto the ground as Caine stares in surprise. Caine summons his acquaintance, Bubble, to clean her mess. Pomni finally speaks aloud about her witnessing an exit door and there is possibly a way to leave. Caine is too distracted by Bubble licking Pomni's puke to answer immediately.

He assured Pomni that there is no such thing as a "magical" exit door. He claims she is possibly experiencing digital hallucination as a side effect from her mind transitioning to the digital plane. Pomni, nonetheless, continues to believe in what she saw and Caine interrupts her by screaming "Digital hallucinations!" in denial of her words. She stares at him as he stares off into the distance, supposedly upset, as he twiddles his fingers. He brushes it off, continuing with the introduction. He asks for her name, setting off a freak out in the latter when she realizes she cannot remember it.

Caine explains that it is natural for newcomers to forget their names since the only thing he does not have power over is their minds. He pats her head reassuringly, claiming her name could be anything prior to going over the terms and regulations regarding name picking in fast forward. Pomni passes over the name picking to him; Caine summons a massive slot machine that randomizes letters to form a title. The machine creates "XDDCC", and Caine asks Pomni how she feels about it. Before she can answer he dismisses the name as terrible and spins the wheel once more. The wheel then creates her current name, "Pomni", and she accepts it before walking away to recollect her thoughts.

Caine turns his attention to Jax and agrees with the latter's recommendation for giving Pomni an adventure. He whips back to Pomni and asks if she enjoys activity among many other things that cluster into each other as he speaks in fast motion. Comically, he offers her "angel fruitcake" that is immediately devoured by Bubble. Upset, Caine calls his assistant a parasite and pops him. Pomni tries commenting again only to be interrupted by him; he declared that everyone will be doing an in-house adventure to warm her up for future ones. The game is known as "Gather The Gloinks" and Caine discusses the task before wishing everyone good luck and leaving.

He doesn't reappear until after Pomni finds herself drifting into the void after entering the said exit door she saw. He is concerned that his plans will be "totally spoiled" and teleports her back to the tent. He places her back on her feet, the latter staring mindlessly into the distance. Kinger informs Caine that Kaufmo, a former member of the circus, had abstracted. Caine exasperatingly asks why nobody had told him before making a goofy face. Pomni slowly gives him an uncomfortable look in response to this. Caine apologizes to the group for fibbing all this time about there being no exit and rambles about his excuses as Pomni spaces out. He rewards them with a digital feast prepared by Bubble.

Candy Carrier Chaos![]

Pomni finds herself in a nightmare of being abstracted and tossed into the cellar; as she falls, she sees Caine commenting on how she had already met her fate. She tumbles out of her dream violently as her body collapses off from her bed and onto the floor. Ragatha informs her that Caine has a new adventure for them and gets her out of the former's room. Caine explains their new task, "Candy Carrier Chaos!", and shoves the group into a portal to enter the candy kingdom to rescue their prized possession, maple syrup. When they return, Pomni comes back with an NPC, Gummigoo, who she clarifies as a new friend of his. Identifying the NPC, Caine snaps his fingers and sends Gummigoo into a burst of confetti, "killing" him. Pomni is forced into a state of utter horror and shock.

He explains that he cannot allow NPCs, for if he got humans and NPCs mixed, something unfortunate can happen. She proceeds to laugh manically in response to her abrupt loss. He announces he is heading out to drink water since it has been awhile since he's done so.

Moments[]

  • In N Calls Everyone, Caine laughs manically along with other indie animation characters. Pomni asks Serial Designation N, a character from Murder Drones, if Caine and the others are going to kill them.
  • In save her, Caine discusses the new Jax and Pomni plushies.

Behind the Scenes[]

A New Era[]

In a short teaser for the arrival of the new GLITCH series, The Amazing Digital Circus, Caine announces to the audience that his assistant, Pomni, is going to be performing something nobody has seen before. He swiftly pins her to a circular board and summons knives in his hands, much to Pomni's panic and apprehension. He assures that she probably won't die in the situation. After a short break, the scene cuts back to Pomni shaking from the several knives impaling her. Caine explains that they can admit they had both learned something from the experience.

POMNI WAKE UP TIME TO GO ON AN ADVENTURE[]

Pomni is seen staring off into the distance on her bed. Caine jumpscares her whilst screaming. He asks her to guess what is happening, in which Pomni prepares to decline prior to being interrupted by him regardless. He explains that since the pilot has reached one view (an exaggerated joke in reference to the 200 million views of the series) they will continue to make a full series. Pomni asks if that's how it works, only for Caine to silence her and drag her outside of the tent to showcase things to her; examples include cursed art of Pomni, new events, new merch, new characters, new dialogue, new scenes, and new shipping wars. When shipping wars is mentioned, she queries if this is a cry for help. Caine transitions into a bootleg plushie of himself in response. He explains he had blocked out for a moment.

Fanon[]

This section is in need of major improvement. Please help improve this article by editing it.

Showtime is a fairly popular pairing within the fandom since the beginning of The Amazing Digital Circus, although not as popular as ButtonBlossom and FunnyBunny. Fans find their dynamic interesting since Caine is energetic and vibrant in contrast to Pomni's shyness and unenthusiasm. Most create comics over Pomni having a crush on Caine and attending dates with him. Their popularity has increased since they are constantly seen together in promotional videos and or trailers sponsored by GLITCH. They are also sponsored together in many of official creator, Gooseworx, official arts. In several fan music videos, the duo are often seen singing together, an example being ZAMination's "Wacky World" music video.
