Shrek (Fandom) ships. This page is for ships with a lack of content, or for ships with minimal interactions. Please add as much content as you can to the sections below. Once a ship meets the requirements, you are welcome to create a page.
The current requirements for ship pages are:
- 20 sentences split between the canon and fanon sections, with content in both sections.
- One minimum link under the fandom section (e.g. AO3 tags, Tumblr links)

Artie and Goldi are from the fairy tale based world of Shrek, but despite this fact the two have never met. While Artie was from the third film of the Shrek franchise, Goldi is part of the Puss in Boots spin-off franchise. Unlike the other main focused characters of the Shrek/PiB franchise, that are mostly fantasy creaturs and talking animals, both Artie and Goldi are young teen humans with blond colored hair.

With both Artie and Goldi coming from the same DreamWorks universe of Shrek/Puss in Boots, it inspired a few to ship them together. With Fairy Tales (as the films from DreamWorks's rival company Disney) being no stranger to royal/thief-like couples, people felt that Artie and Goldi would fit this theme. Since Artie has already shown kindness towards fairy tale villains and helps them to reform, also helps to support the idea of this rare ship.

Trivia[]
- Along before Puss in Boots: The Last Wish came out, the Shrek franchise had a previous version of Goldilocks in the game, Shrek Smash and Crash Racing. With the Mama Bear in the first Shrek film being killed while Mama Bear of Puss in Boots is alive, it is unknown if the three bears and golden haired girl from the Shrek series have any connections to the ones that were presented in the second Puss in Boots film.

Although there is a Disney version of Arthur ("Wart") Pendragon and the Once Upon A Time series has its versions of Merida and Arthur meet as enemies, fans prefer to cross ship her with DreamWorks' take on Arthur from their Shrek franchise. With both of them being CGI characters, while Disney's Arthur is mostly shipped with other animated characters from the Disney universe, and the fact that crossover ships between Disney and DreamWorks are common as well as rare, since Merithur didn't take off like Mericcup has. Placing Merithur in the rarepair group, with there being little fanworks on them. Part from the ones that were made by the DeviantArt user who is believed to have created the ship and named both their DeviantArt and YouTube accounts after it. Sisters Page has also made a few videos on the ship.
The negativity of their OUAT selves might also be the reason why Merithur is quite rare. With the series not only having Arthur as a villain who locks Merida up in his dungeon, but had also killed her father when he invaded DunBroch for power. Putting none "hero x villain" shippers off the idea. Some of the ship's manips that use OUAT Merida, however, have her with Arthur's BBC Merlin counterpart than his OUAT one. From how the blond hair and red clothes of BBC's Arthur makes him look closely like a live-action version of Artie. Just those yellow and red color schemes make them look like Disney's animated version of Wart.

Soft and Sweet is the femslash between Kitty Softpaws and Dulcinea

Wildeboots is a cross furry ship between a Disney fox and a DreamWorks cat, who both happen to be ginger orange. The rare crack ship has a small fanbase on Tumblr. Disney/DreamWorks ships are quite common in the world of crossover shipping, but not all of them take off like Jackunzel, Mericcup and a few others have. With how rare the rest of them are. Those who do support Wildeboots try to draw others towards it, in hopes of getting its fanbase to grow.
