ShuFuuka is the het ship between Makoto Yuki and Fuuka Yamagishi from the Persona fandom.
Canon[]
Makoto and Fuuka are the same age and attend school together but aren’t in the same class. They are both members of SEES. In the English version of the original game, Fuuka calls Makoto by his first name. In the Japanese version and Reload English version, Fuuka always addresses Makoto as “Yuki-kun” instead of calling him by his first names like Yukari and Junpei because he never asks, or she is very formal with Makoto because of his quiet and stoic demeanor.
Makoto first heard of Fuuka from Akihiko in May, when Fuuka might have the potential to summon Persona. Makoto meets Fuuka in June's full moon operation in the most profound depth of Tartarus with Akihiko and Junpei. A few days pass, and Fuuka fully recovers; Makoto can welcome Fuuka after she moves into the dorm and joins SEES. Fuuka’s Social Link becomes available after she is rescued if the player has courage 6 to activate it.
Fuuka's Social Link revolves around introspecting her wishes and what she truly wants to do while striving to become more positive with the protagonist's help. At first, she feels obliged to pay back her teammates for her support with poorly cooked food, though she learns to make rice balls. In the end, she discovers that not only does she want to help her friends, but she also wants to be true to herself and her hobbies as a technician.
Social Link[]
Lover Route[]
In Reload, Makoto can pursue a romantic relationship with Fuuka if he makes the correct choices in her Social Links instead of being forced to do so, as in the original game. Fuuka will fall in love with him.
Platonic Route[]
In Reload, unlike in the original game, if Makoto chooses to stay friends with her, she is hurt at first, but she takes it very well and happily stays friends with him.
In the final rank in the particular dialogue, if Yukari is in a relationship with Makoto, she suspects Makoto cheated on her with Fuuka. She clears the misunderstanding and says Makoto is just a friend, and there’s nothing between them.
Film[]
In the first film, Makoto meets Fuuka early before June, when she helps pick up her books and notebooks before he leaves. In early May, Makoto meets Fuuka again at the bookstore, where Natsuki bullies her. He decides to help Fuuka pick up her belongings again and is willing to buy takoyaki for her after she skips lunch. He is willing to listen to Fuuka’s problems and how she still sees Natsuki as her friend even though she bullied her.
In the remaining three films, Makoto does not interact with Fuuka or be seen together because he is becoming interested in Aigis. Like Yukari, Fuuka only sees Makoto as a friend, and she cares for him.
The Weird Masquerade[]
Like the film version, Sakuya met Fuuka on his first school day.
When SEES decides to rescue Fuuka in Tartarus, Sakuya becomes the first person to find Fuuka.
In Acts 2-5, Sakuya interacts with Fuuka only briefly. However, in Act 4, Sakuya and Yukari advise Fuuka to help her reconcile with Natsuki.

The Jounrey[]
- On the first day of the Yakushima event, Junpei asks Makoto which of the girls is his type. Fuuka is one of the options.
- Fuuka can go on a date with him during the Summer Festival.
- Fuuka can go on a date with him if she becomes his lover.
The Answer[]
- Fuuka is one of the few people who has no desire to travel to the past to save Makoto’s life. Like Aigis, she is against choosing either side against friends.
Persona Q[]
- If the player chooses the correct answers to Fuuka's preferences in the second dungeon, Group Date Cafe dungeon, Fuuka will be Makoto's destined partner.
- During the Big Day floor, at first, Fuuka doesn’t feel confident as she feels unworthy to be Makoto’s partner.
Fanon[]
ShuFuuka is a relatively well-liked ship in the Persona 3 fandom. Their ship increased in popularity thanks to the spin-off games and films. Fans enjoy the kindness that Makoto shows towards Fuuka, an element of their relationship that was expanded upon in the first film adaptation.
