Black Panther Wakanda Forever[]
Shuri and Okoye meets up with CIA agent Everett K. Ross and learns that the scientist in question is MIT student Riri Williams. Shuri and Okoye try to decide which one of them will go to get Riri Williams, Okoye then allows Shuri to go and get her, only allowing her 5 mins. Shuri knocks on Riri door calling out her name Riri opens the door shocked to see the princess of Wakanda at her door. Shuri then goes into Riri dorm room confronting and informing her that she needs to go with her to Wakanda because Namor is planning to kill her but Shuri then learns that Riri's vibranium detecting machine was merely a class project that the CIA stole. Riri doesn't believe the urgency until Okoye pops out of her bathroom and makes Riri go with them.
Riri takes Shuri and Okoye to her garage where she works on her projects. Shuri looks excited when she sees the projects that riri works on even asking her if one of her projects is from starks industry. Soon FBI agents arrive at the garage, forcing the ladies to spring into action and flee. Riri gets her own iron armour suit and helps her fly, while Shuri and Okoye attempt to drive away.
A drone goes after them, but Riri flies high enough to shoot it down before she runs out of oxygen. The drone then crashes over several cop cars, allowing Shuri and Okoye to keep going. Unfortunately, they are stopped when the Talokans corner them on a bridge and throw a water bomb at them, causing Shuri to lose consciousness. Riri also crashes upon the scene, and the Talokans attempt to capture her, but Okoye engages in battle with them, seemingly killing three soldiers before facing the general Attuma. He nearly kills her with her own spear until she shocks it out of his hands, and the other three Talokans rise unharmed. When Okoye attempts to continue fighting, she is knocked off the bridge. Shuri regains consciousness and tells the Talokans to take her with them, so they take her and Riri.

Once the movie came out many fans were seeing some chemistry between Shuri and Riri whether that chemistry be friendly or romantically. On AO3, Shuriri has over 190 romantic fanfics and over 20 platonic ones. It is the most written ship for Riri and 4th written romantic ship for Shuri. Currently Shuriri mainly rivals Nashuri.
