Sidlinkona is the poly ship between Link, Sidon and Yona from The Legend of Zelda fandom.
Canon[]
Past[]
Link and Sidon have barely known each other in the time that Mipha was still alive due to minimal exposure to each other, and the former has never met Yona at all until a hundred years later after Calamity Ganon attacked and Mipha had already lost her life. Sidon and Yona have known each other in childhood where the former had an extreme fear of interacting with strangers until they were washed away on a river where Yona would comfort and protect Sidon until Mipha rescued them. Link and Sidon first properly meet each other a hundred years later where he is shocked to learn that Link was the Hylian Champion who fought with the Champions against Calamity Ganon and they worked together to put an end to the endless rain caused by Divine Beast Vah Ruta, which allowed the soul of Mipha to be at rest and fulfil her mission.
Tears of the Kingdom[]
After Link cleans the statue of Sidon and himself at the Zora's Domain's plaze to free it from the sludge that is contaminating its water supply, Yona and her friends were grateful to Link for his help and introduces herself as the fiancée of Sidon. Ever since the sludge began to threaten them, Sidon has been holding back the sludge on Mipha Court while Yona and her friends have been tending to the sick Zora that her affected by the toxic substance and directs Link to Mipha Court where Ploymus Rock stood. Once Link arrives, Sidon is busy holding it back at first but once he sees Link, he becomes extremely happy to see him once again. He explains everything that happened since he and Zelda disappeared, and everything was going wrong for them. As much as he wanted to tag along with Link, Sidon is unable to leave his spot as he would risk letting the pollution spread so he uses his waterpower to hold it back. Link interacts with Yona again and she is looking for an Ancient Arowana so that she can repair Link's Zora Armor that Mipha made for him many years ago and once Link catches one, he delivers it to him for him to be allowed to climb the waterfall. With that, Yona and her friends decide to head to Mipha Court to meet with Sidon.
As they arrive, Sidon tells her that it's too dangerous for her to be here while she insists on helping out. A Sludge Like appears and Link and Sidon fight and managed to slay it. Sidon and Yona continue to argue for a while until Yona had enough and tells him off that he is still stuck in the past where he constantly fears losing a loved one as he did Mipha and he has a future ahead of him along with the fact that should not let that fear keep him from moving on. After a while Sidon returns to his original self and lets Yona and her friends hold back the sludge for him as he joins Link on their mission to find the source of the pollution as Yona is sympathetic of Sidon due to his loss of his sister as she and her friends continue to hold the sludge back. Link and Sidon were able to journey to the skyward Water Temple where they experience low gravity and were given the mission of turning on five faucets to pour over the source of the sludge. Upon doing so, they encounter Mucktorok who was the one causing the Zora grief and they managed to destroy it. After Sidon claims the Secret Stone from his ancestor who was a Water Sage, Zora's Domain's water was purified and free of sludge which allowed everything to be returned back to normal. Sidon is later crowned the new king in his father's stead as Yona is crowned as the new queen. Sidon helps Link in subsequent battles against Phantom Ganon and Ganondorf himself.
Fanon[]
Sidlinkona is a somewhat uncommon ship within the fanbase and there have been over twenty stories on these ships in AO3 thus far. Ever since Sidon is confirmed to be engaged with Yona, their relationship has been shown to be somewhat divisive within the shipping community especially amongst the Sidlink shippers who were not happy that Sidon ended up with her instead of Link. However, in the midst of the controversy, there are also other Sidlink shippers who have taken a liking to Yona and have taken the alternative of shipping all three of them together and even some ships that also include Princess Zelda called Sidzelinkona, and do not like how Yona is bashed over her simply being Sidon's fiancée.
