Sidyona is a het ship between Sidon and Yona from The Legend of Zelda fandom.
Canon[]
Sidon and Yona have known each other since they were very young. Sidon had a phobia of speaking with strangers and notes that she was mature for her age and treated him like a brother despite not being related. It wasn't until a heavy rainfall swept them down the river and Yona comforted him until Mipha came to the rescue. Sidon then saw that he had two big sisters, one from birth and one by chance. Over the years, his feelings for Yona became difficult to comprehend until his father King Dorephan told him that he is betrothed to her, and even when he does realize that his feelings for her are private, but he ends up documenting them on the monument anyway.
When the Upheaval begins to result in the four regions being plagued by unusual phenomenon, Zora's Domain suffers from a terrible sludge pollution that affects the health of its inhabitants, Sidon heads to Mipha Court to prevent it from spreading any further while Yona tends to the sick in the informatory. When Link arrives and cleans off the statue of Sidon and himself, Yona thanks him and introduces herself as Sidon's fiancée and she will direct him to Mipha Court where Sidon is holding back the sludge. Later, once Link is able to get his Zora Armor fixed up with the Ancient Arowana, Yona and her friends head to Mipha Court to help hold back the sludge. Once there, a Sludge Like attacked them which Link and Sidon managed to defeat while Yona and her friends hold back the sludge for him. Both Sidon and Yona get into a brief argument when Sidon pleads with her to return to the domain while Yona insists on staying to keep the sludge at bay, until Yona finally had enough and tells him that his mind is still in the past and reminds him that he has a future ahead of him to worry about. She adds that he needs to let go of the past so he can live for the future. After some thought, Sidon relents as he returns to his optimistic and enthusiastic self as he makes his way to East Reservoir Lake, telling Link to meet him there to find the source of the problem. Yona is sympathetic of Sidon due to him having been badly affected by the loss of his sister while wishing Link luck.
After Link and Sidon defeat Mucktorok, the water in Zora's Domain is purified and King Dorephan steps down from his kingly duties and crowns Sidon as their new king with Yona also became his queen and would begin their rule over Zora's Domain for the years to come.
Fanon[]
The Sidyona ship has garnered some level of popularity. Yona's introduction in Tears of the Kingdom has been met with a mixed reaction from the fanbase, with her critics coming from the Sidlink shippers who were not pleased about the fact that she was canonically Sidon's fiancée, while some Sidlink shippers would do a threesome ship pairing her with Link and Sidon. Even then, it did not stop the fanfiction ships of Sidon and Yona being together from many shippers who love the dynamic between Sidon and Yona, and they note that they are nonetheless very happy for them, despite some criticisms against the ship. In fact, there has been some dedicated Sidyona fans who create a lot of fan art of the two of them being together. Yona has shown time and again that she does have feelings for Sidon as seen in her interactions with him and isn't afraid to stand up to him when it's warranted, and Sidon does care for Yona's well-being with him being worried for her safety when the loss of his sister came to mind, but he happily accepts her hand in marriage regardless of the obstacles that get in their way.
