Sigayra is the het ship between Sigurd and Ayra from the Fire Emblem fandom.
Canon[]
Sigurd and Ayra are two playable characters in Fire Emblem Genealogy of The Holy War. Sigurd is the son of the Duke of Chalphy (a part of Grannvale kingdom). Ayra is the daughter of the king of Isaach. On the beginning of the game there is a war between Grannvale and Isaach. Knowing that they will lose the war, Mariccle (Isaach's prince and Ayra's older brother) ask to his sister to take Shannan (his son) and to go to Verdan where they will be in safety (since Verdan is't an ally of Grannvale).
At Verdan, Ayra is forced to fight for Cimbaeth (prince of Verdan) who hold Shannan hostage. During the war between Grannvale and Isaach Sigurd stayed at Chalphy, Verdan took advantage of the fact that most Grannvale's forces are away to attack the country. Edain (Sigurd's childhood friend) is kidnapped by Munnir (Verdan's prince). Sigurd and his army go to Verdan to rescue her. Ayra is forced to fight Sigurd's army who manage to avoid her. Finally, Sigurd kills Cimbaeth and rescue Shannan. Sigurd informs Ayra that Shannan is safe and she joins his army.
Some time after, Sigurd meets Deirdre, falls in love with her, and later marries her. Ayra can marry all men in Sigurd's army (save for Quan and Sigurd himself). In Chapter 5, Sigurd, decides to send his son Seliph (that he had with Deirdre) to Isaach where he will be in safety under Oifey and Sannan's care. If she marries, Ayra will send her twins (that she had with her husband) with Seliph. After that Sigurd ask her why she didn't go with Shannan, she answers that now Shannan is old enough to take care of himself and doesn't need her protection anymore, and that she is with Sigurd until the end. At the end of chapter 5, Sigurd is betrayed and killed by Arvis. While most of his army died with him. Ayra's fate is unknown.

Sigayra is a rare pair for the reason that Sigurd cannot marry someone else than Deirdre (Not counting ARMAX codes to hack the game). Sigayra shippers wish that Sigurd could marry Ayra. The main reason is that Sigurd and Ayra are considered to be the best units in the first generation and their children (especially Seliph) would be really strong. In general, Sigayra shippers dislike Sigurdeirdre's relationship, because they feel it's "forced" and sometimes they also dislike Deirdre herself claiming that she is a flat character and that contrary to Ayra had bad statistiques whit out her holy blood bonus. The players who at first wanted to pair Sigurd with Ayra choose to pair Larcei (Ayra's daughter) with Seliph (Sigurd's son) since it's possible in game.
