Siguedain is the het ship between Sigurd and Edain from the Fire Emblem fandom.
Canon[]
Sigurd and Edain are two playable characters in Fire Emblem Genealogy of The Holy War. Sigurd is the son of the Duke of Chalphy, Edain is the daughter of the Duke of Yngvi (the neighbor dukedom). Both Chalphy and Yngvi are part of the kingdom Grannvale. Edain and Sigurd became friends during their childhood.
Many years later a war broke out between Granvale and Isaach and their fathers go to the fight. The neighbor's kingdom Verdan took advantage of the fact that most Grannvale's forces are away to attack the country. Led by Munnir (Verdan's prince) Verdan's forces invade Yngvi. Edain is captured by Munnir who take her to Verdan. After learning that Yngvi was invaded Sigurd immediately go to the fight with some of his knights. After freeing Yngvi Sigurd learn that Edain was took away he go tho Verdan to save her. Jamke (Verdan's youngest prince) disagree with the invasion and free Edain alongside the thief Dew (who are asked to protect her) and they both join Sigurd's army. When Edain reach Sigurd he states that he is glad to see Edain safe. Sigurd informs Edain that she can return to safety at Yngvi but she choose to stay in his army to help.
Some time after, Sigurd meet Deirdre, fall in love with her and later marry her. Edain can marry all men in Sigurd's army (safe Quan and Sigurd himself). During the war againts Isaach the prince of Grannvale Kurth is assasinated by Lombard and Reptor who blame Sigurd and Edain's fathers. Edain and Sigurd's fathers are killed by Grannvale forces. Sigurd and his army who had took refuges in the kingdom of Silesse decide to return to Grannvale to fight their enemies. They defeat Reptor and Lombart but Sigurd is betrayed and killed by Arvis. Most of his army died with him. Edain survive and flee to Isaach where some of her allies (including Sigurd) had sent their childreen in safety under Oifey and Sannan's care. They go to a small orphanage and they raises her own children Lana and Lester (she will have them if she married an other character), and acts as a mother figure to Seliph (Sigurd's son), Diarmuid/Tristan, Larcei/Creidne, Scáthach/Dalvin, Muirne and Deimne (the last two only if she wasn't married).

Siguedain is a rare pair for the reason that Sigurd cannot marry someone else than Deirdre (Without the use of a cheat device). Many players who ship them wanted to pair them before learning that it's impossible in-game and finally shipped them with canon option. A popular joke in the fandom is that without Deirdre the numerous men in Sigurd's army who had a crush on Edain wouldn't had a chance. Usually the players who at first wanted to pair Sigurd with Edain choose to pair Lana (Edain's daughter) with Seliph (Sigurd's son) since it's possible in-game.
