SleepingFlash is the non-binary ship between Belle and Orange Flash from the Starlight Express fandom.

Belle and Orange Flash have very few interactions throughout the productions. Most of the time they do participate in the larger group numbers at the same time. Orange Flash was also one of the engine's that Belle had to defend Pearl from.

SleepingFlash is a rarepair in the StEx fandom. Mostly due to the two not having any major interactions in the show. As well as both only being introduced in the 2024 London Revival. Though it is arguably one of the more popular ships for both the new engines and coach's. The name SleepingFlash is derived from Belle being a sleeping car. Most often it is a background ship for more popular StEx ships. Its main rival ships include Lumber x Belle and Flashita.
Fans of the ship do enjoy them for aesthetic reasons. As some like that their main colors are almost opposing one another. While orange and blue are typically the more contrasting colors, purple and orange work rather similarly. Many fans of the show like the idea of the two being together before the events of the musical. As it can add an interesting dynamic when they both race with other trains. Others speculate that maybe the two are exes, or haven't gotten together yet. With one or the other harboring feelings for each other withouth the other knowing. With neither really knowing how to ask the other out. As well as that maybe Tassita is being Belle's wing-man by teaming up with Orange Flash for the race.
On AO3, SleepingFlash is the most written ship for both Belle and Orange Flash. There are currently 6 written works.
