SleepyStar is the femslash ship between Coco and Belle from the Starlight Express fandom.
Canon[]
Coco and Belle were both created during the off west end workshop. Coco was The French Engine for the show now, and would replace the previous French Engine Bobo. This was done to increase the number of female character within the show. Belle on the other hand was created to replace Ashley, as well as being a reference to the Belle Sleeping Car from the original London production. The two were paired together for the second heat, but don't make it to the finals. When changes from the workshop were implemented into the Bochum production, Coco made the cut, but Belle was replaced by a Bar Car also named Belle, who would race with Coco instead. Belle was then brought into the show with the 2024 Wembley Park production, but all the national engine's were replaced, meaning that Coco didn't make it. The two exist in separate productions at the same time, but have never interacted outside of the workshop.
2017 Off-West End Workshop[]
Control calls for heat two, and starts introducing each of the pairings. They announce track three, Coco the French engine racing with Belle. Coco gives her intro, and she and Belle line up onto their track. Control does a countdown and the two race, however, end up loosing and don't make it to the finals.

SleepyStar is a rarepair in the StEx fandom. Mostly due to the two only interacting in the 2017 workshop. Meaning that most fans are unaware that they've even existed within the same production. However, fans who are aware, tend to ship them based on them being racing partners in the workshop. As shipping racing partners is very common within the fandom. Even for pairings only from the workshop. The ship name comes from Belle being a sleeping car and Coco being a Eurostar engine. Its rival ships include SleepingFlash and French Wine.
