SlyFox is the het ship between Sly Cooper and Carmelita Fox from the Sly Cooper fandom.
Canon[]
Sly's relationship with Carmelita is quite complicated. Carmelita is determined (possibly to the point of obsession) to apprehend Sly, but he always makes the time to flirt with her, even while she chases him with the goal of putting him behind bars. He has even said that being a thief is a lot more fun when Carmelita is chasing him. This relationship carried on throughout the original trilogy, until near the end of Sly 3: Honour Among Thieves, when Sly realizes how much of a coward he was in never telling Carmelita how he actually felt about her. After defeating Dr. M, Sly manages to pursue a relationship with Carmelita by lying to her about having amnesia and giving up thievery.
However, at the start of Sly Cooper: Thieves In Time, he falls back into thievery when his friend Bentley contacts him with information regarding one of Sly's family heirlooms - the Thievius Raccoonus. Upon discovering his deception, Carmelita resumes her normal duty of pursuing Sly, winding up involved with Sly Cooper's mission through Le Paradox's meddling. After a taxing journey through time, Carmelita accepts that she cannot change Sly and gains a newfound respect for him, realizing that they are on the same side. While on Le Paradox's blimp, Carmelita apologizes for her past mistreatment of Sly, which he returns before he disappears. For a third time, Carmelita resumes her hunt for Sly, but this time to confirm that he is alive.
Aside from the main story, Sly and Carmelita have several moments of flirting with one another - or rather Sly flirting with Carmelita - while she tries to do her job. Despite working on opposite sides of the law, they do hold respect towards each other, with both rescuing the other several times across the series. If it comes down to it, Sly will do whatever he can to protect Carmelita - even without her knowing. This has, unfortunately, been a downfall for Sly numerous times, with villains that oppose him using Carmelita as bait to lure him into a trap. Regardless, Sly and Carmelita greatly care about each other - even if they don't show it or are at times butt heads due to a altercation.
Moments[]
Sly Cooper & the Thievius Raccoonus
- During the job A Daring Rescue, Carmelita is found to have been captured by Clockwerk and trapped in a nearby room. Despite Bentley informing Sly about the fact that it could be a trap, and reminding him of all the times she tried to bust him, Sly insists on rescuing her.
- At the end of the game, after Clockwerk's defeat, Carmelita honors her agreement to give Sly a 10 second head-start. However, he instead waits out the 10 seconds and kisses her with one second remaining before making his get-away... and hand-cuffing Carmelita to a nearby railing.
Sly 2: Band of Thieves
- As part of Operation: Hippo Drop, Sly has to distract a ballroom full of guests by dancing with Carmelita. Despite it being for a job, and the fact that Sly is in disguise, the two are shown to be enjoying the dance.
- After Sly turns himself in after Clock-La's defeat, Sly and Carmelita start to talk and enjoy each other's company, to the point that they consider it a "first date."
Sly 3: Honour Among Thieves
- While on Kaine Island, Carmelita saves Sly from Dr. M's mutant primate, and in the Cooper Vault, Sly takes a shot from Dr. M to defend Carmelita. After Carmelita beats Dr. M, she checks on Sly, who fakes to have amnesia so he can spend time with her.
Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time
- In the final job, Déjà Vu All Over Again!, Sly tries to rescue Carmelita in vain and gets captured by Le Paradox in his machine, who traps them in a glass container. Le Paradox tried to send them into a time vortex, but he is stopped by "Tennessee Kid" Cooper, who sets them free in time. Sly then briefly makes up with Carmelita before holding his how against Le Paradox.

Fanon[]
Without question, SlyFox is the most popular ship within the Sly Cooper fandom. Fan art and fan fiction of the pairing is incredibly popular, usually playing around with the cops-and-robbers dynamic that the couple already has. It is virtually unrivalled as each characters most popular ship, with seldom few - if any - other ships featuring Sly or Carmelita being popular. This is a stark contrast to most other similar fandoms, such as Crash Bandicoot, Sonic the Hedgehog and Ratchet & Clank, where the titular character/s usually have multiple popular ships that divide opinion. This can largely be attributed to how effective their in-game dynamic and relationship is depicted and how there are few other characters competing for either character's affection.
