Slynessee is the family ship between Sly Cooper and "Tennessee Kid" Cooper from the Sly Cooper fandom.
Canon[]
Tennessee is one of Sly's ancestors, existing in the era of America's Old West. Sly learns about him after reclaiming his section of the Thievius Raccoonus - the Cooper Clan's book on its member's exploits - from the gangster Muggshot. From this, Sly not only discovers Tennessee Kid's history of robberies on corrupt landowners but also learns to do his signature ability: walking and sliding along rails. Years later, while Sly explores the Cooper Vault on Kaine Island, he eventually comes across the area Tennessee's created - which Sly manages to get through using Tennessee's technique to navigate a treacherous set of rails.
Thieves in Time[]
Years after the events on Kaine Island, Sly learns that someone is sending people back in time to interfere with the Cooper Clan. For Tennessee, this took the form of being arrested by one of the mastermind's minions - an armadillo named Toothpick - before he could complete one of his most significant heists. Using his gang's time machine, Sly travels to Tennessee's time period to rescue him only to learn he's in a maximum security cell and set for hanging. Sly quickly realizes there's only one way to save his ancestor in time: he starts causing enough trouble in town in the hope of being branded an outlaw so he'll be thrown into Tennessee's section of jail. The plan works as Sly is caught after his havoc and, as planned, he's sent to the maximum security section.
In the cell, Sly finally meets Tennessee face-to-face. While initially cordial, Tennessee isn't happy when Sly tells him his full name as he thinks a stranger is disrespecting the Cooper name. Sly proves he's a Cooper by managing to break them out by using his ball and chain to bust down the cell's wall. With radio support from his partner Bentley, Sly escorts Tennessee out of the jail. As the two make their exit, Tennessee admits to Sly he actually knew he was a Cooper from the start.
Rendezvousing with Sly's [[Cooper Gang]|gang]], Tennessee reveals to Sly the details of Toothpick hijacking his robbery. The gang begins helping Tennessee with stopping Toothpick and reclaiming his rightful gains. This happens until, during a run, Tennessee finds and rescues Carmelita Fox from some goons. Sly is made aware of the situation and rushes with the gang to their position in their van. Upon arrival, however, it's revealed to be a trap set by Toothpick as he captures the trio before taking them away. Tennessee - with some help from Carmelita - breaks back into the prison to free Sly an his friends although their van isn't recovered. With the group now stronger, they plan on raiding Toothpick's train for the threefold reason of capturing him and reclaiming both Tennessee's gold and the van. To setup the heist, Sly gets one of the keys to the town's rail system to allow Tennessee to divert the train's path.
With the prep done, the heist begins with the group getting onboard. When the others finish their parts, Sly and Tennessee begin their by navigating the train's cars to reach Toothpick at the engine with Sly taking the roofs while Tennessee goes through them to also get his gold back. The two reach Toothpick together, only for forces from the armadillo's boss - the mastermind Cyrille Le Paradox - to arrive and take Tennessee's gun. With Tennessee disarmed, he's forced to hang back and watch Sly take Toothpick out. Tennessee gladly captures the armadillo as Sly leaves the train just as it comes upon a broken bridge. However, Tennessee watches as the van is unable to slow down in time before careening over the cliff, forcing it to make a time jump.
Much later on, Tennessee is brought to the present alongside other Cooper ancestors by Bentley to reclaim their canes from Le Paradox. After reclaiming his cane, Tennessee uses it to move deeper through Le Paradox's airship to where Sly and Carmelita are being held in a trap. Before Le Paradox is able to activate the trap to kill them, Tennessee fires on it to break the two out - just as he vanishes as the timeline begins recovering.
Fanon[]
Slynessee is an uncommon ship in the Sly Cooper fandom. Within the original game trilogy, this ship didn't exist in a significant capacity. It only became recognized when Thieves in Time released. Fans noted that, of the five ancestors Sly meets in this game, Tennessee ended up being the closest to Sly, personality-wise. By this, they're similarly casual and joking in normal circumstances but become serious when needed, especially when their family is involved. Fans also found it a bit funny that Tennessee became a rival for Sly in terms of shipping thanks to Carmelita being attracted to him.
