Amsonia is the femslash ship between Amy Rose and Sonia the Hedgehog.

As Amy and Sonia are from different canons, they have not met in canon. In the games, Amy has feelings for Sonic. In Sonic Underground, Sonia is Sonic's sister.

The ship isn't extremely popular, although it has some of fanart. People that do ship them tend to for 3 reasons. They are both pink, girly hedgehogs, having another ship for Sonic and Knuckles, whom Amy and Sonia are often shipped with, and because Sonia is Sonic's sister (if Amy doesn't date Sonic then perhaps she would be wit a family member of his instead).

Blarine[]
Blarine is the femslash ship between Blaze and Marine.
Canon[]
Blaze and Marine met in Sonic Rush Adventure, where Sonic the Hedgehog and Tails introduced the two to each other. While Blaze was annoyed by Marine at first, the two eventually became best friends. Blaze and Marine have also appeared together in the Archie Comics.

Charmy and Marine have never appeared together in the games and comics. The only versions of them that might have interacted are their In Another Time, In Another Place counterparts, as both participated in the London 2012 Olympics. No interactions between the two were shown there.

Charmy and Marine are both young and have hyperactive personalities so some fans ship them. The pairing has some fanart made of it, but it is still notably less popular than pairings such as Chaream.

Elisbig[]
Elisbig is the het ship between Princess Elise and Big the Cat.

Their only canon interaction is in Sonic X Shadow Generations. Big the Cat mentions having met Princess Elise when he entered the royal palace in search of Froggy, describing her as very nice. Big the Cat appears in numerous other games, while Princess Elise’s only other appearance, excepting cameos, is in Sonic the Hedgehog (2006), one of the games in which Big does not appear.

The pairing has historically been unpopular, but has gained several fanworks on AO3. Ironically, the first Elisbig ship fic on the site has Big meeting Elise in her castle while searching for Froggy, and was published nearly six months before Big would canonically describe them meeting for the exact same reason.

It is more common to portray the two as enemies or rivals, mostly fighting because of reasons involving Tails, as Fiona is his past love interest who ended up betraying the Freedom Fighters in the Archie Comics while Cosmo is his love interest in Sonic X.

Garry (Sonic)[]
Garry is the non-binary ship between the Avatar and Barry the Quokka.
Canon[]
The Avatar and Barry never appeared together in games, with their main similarity being that both have some level of customization in their respective games. The Avatar's appearance can be customized by the player in Sonic Forces, whereas Barry's name can be chosen by the player in The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog. Both characters end up meeting Sonic the Hedgehog and other main characters from the franchise in their respective games.
In the IDW comic Sonic the Hedgehog: Winter Jam, Barry makes a cameo appearance alongside a red wolf Avatar (the appearance typically seen in promotional material from Sonic Forces). The two are seen making a gingerbread house together on one of the screens that Dr. Eggman watches at the beginning of the comic.

The ship started gaining some popularity after Barry's introduction in The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog in 2023, with their cameo appearance in the IDW comics boosting their popularity. Ship art commonly shows Barry with the red male wolf Avatar, nicknamed Gadget by the fandom.

Marinks is the femslash ship between Marine and Sticks.
Canon[]
They have never met in the games or comics. In the Post-Super Genesis Wave comics, both have met the post-SGW counterparts of some characters, as the Boom Zone and regular Zone were combined during a crossover event. The post-SGW counterparts of Sonic, Tails, Amy and Cream all met Marine in the Sol Zone at some point.
Similarities and comparisons[]
- Both have a similar color scheme, consisting of brown and orange fur, as well as blue eyes.
- Marine has pigtails shaped like boomerangs, while Sticks' head is shaped like a boomerang and she uses boomerangs as a weapon.
- Both are best friends with a character who is also best friends with Cream the Rabbit. Marine is best friends with Blaze the Cat, while Sticks is best friends with the Sonic Boom counterpart of Amy Rose.
- Both have, in at least one continuity, had interactions with Sonic, Tails and Amy.
- Both appeared as Mii costumes in Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
- Marine is one of the youngest characters of the franchise. Sticks' age is unknown in canon, but she is often thought to be among the youngest characters as well.

When a picture of Sticks was shown, many thought it was meant to be a Sonic Boom version of Marine, given their similar looks and the fact that the main characters had different designs in Boom. Because of this, when Sticks was announced, the two were often associated with each other by fans.
The relationship between the two in fan works varies. Some view Sticks as Marine's Sonic Boom counterpart, with one headcanon even going as far as suggesting that Sticks was originally Marine, who later lost her memory. Others see the two as relatives, such as half-sisters. When following the theory that the Sol Dimension is the future, Sticks could be Marine's ancestor. Sticks and Marine are also commonly portrayed as rivals, and fanon material of the two fighting is not uncommon.
Shipping Sticks and Marine as a couple is rare. It is still acknowledged by some fans. Two users gave the pairing a good rating on Wattpad. A stamp of the ship has also been made by DeviantArt user MsHoshi, and it was favorite'd by at least seven people.

Meteezie[]
Meteezie is the non-binary ship between Metal Sonic and Breezie.
Canon[]
Breezie and Metal Sonic have appeared in multiple canons, but the only canon they share is the Post-Super Genesis Wave Archie Comics.
During a course of events similar to those in the game Sonic Heroes, Metal contacted Breezie and built Casino Park for her while disguised as Eggman. Breezie recognized him as an imposter, as the real Eggman would not be so generous. Metal threatened Breezie with harming her if she warned Sonic, and Breezie brushed it off, saying she had no interest in helping Sonic. Breezie showed an attraction towards Metal during this time as both had the goal to strike out on their own.
During the final match of Breezie's fighting tournament, Metal Sonic broke in and attempted to steal the prize of the tournament, a Chaos Emerald. The heroes participating in the tournament managed to stop him, but Breezie did not care about the outcome of their battle as she had made money regardless.

The ship was started by Sonic News Network user Sonictoast, who made a poll where people could vote for their favorite Sonic couple. Omega and a toaster was included in the poll as a joke. The pairing ended up winning the poll.

Rayream is the het ship between Ray and Cream from the Sonic the Hedgehog fandom.

Ray appears exclusively in SegaSonic the Hedgehog and Sonic Mania Plus, Classic-era and Classic form character-focused games, respectively. Cream, on the other hand, appears exclusively in Modern-era games since Sonic Advance 2, meaning the two have never met. However, they have met Classic Sonic or the related, the former, whose design has "evolved" over time into the modern form of Sonic, and the latter in Sonic Generations.
Comics[]
Like in the games, the two were not shown to interact, although in the Archie comics, Ray had a modern form as well. They were allies, and had mutual friends in both the Pre- and Post-Super Genesis Wave universes.
Similarities[]
- Both are mammals.
- Both are (in Ray's case, at least biologically in the Pre-Super Genesis Wave universe) among the youngest characters.
- Both have the ability to fly.
- Both have a roughly yellow/orange color scheme. This tends to be a common trait among young characters in the Sonic series (as seen with Tails, Marine and Charmy).
- Both are sidekicks (or younger best friends) of other characters: Amy and Blaze for Cream, and Mighty for Ray.

Rayream is an uncommon pairing in the fandom, mainly due to the fact that the two have never interacted in canon, and due to new SEGA mandates that the Classic Sonic and Modern Sonic material should be kept separated, are unlikely to interact in future material. Some fans ship them due to their similarities.
On DeviantArt, material of the ship exists, but is not very common. A notable artist is NoViKiMaRiMaRi, who made multiple pictures of the two together despite Rayrine being her main ship. Another one is rooteh, who made the images Flying Mammals and Be my Valentine, both with over 100 favorites as of 2019. Another contributor is CountryballFan, who founded the Rayream fanclub in 2018.
On AO3, the pairing only has one fan work, making it extremely rare. Even that one fanwork, titled Sonic and the Legend of the Rings has not yet reached a part where Cream and Ray appear. In the original version of this story, posted on Finnish MovieStarPlanet in 2013, Ray and Cream were a vampire couple, who ended up going on separate paths as both believed the other to be dead, before having a surprise reunion six years later.
It has multiple more popular rival ships, especially for Cream. Pairings such as Taiream and Chaream are notably more popular. As for Ray, rival ships include Rayrine and Rayonia, although ships on Ray's side are not very common in general.

- Until the release of Sonic Mania Plus in mid-2018 (albeit as Classic Ray), both had appearances in only one video game (not including mentions): SegaSonic the Hedgehog for Ray and Sonic Rush Adventure for Marine.
- In both the games and Archie comics, both have met their counterparts of Sonic and Tails (although only the Classic counterparts of Tails and Ray have met).
- Both are the younger friend of a duo in their respective games: Blaze for Marine, and Mighty for Ray.

Despite not meeting in canon, Rayrine is one of the most popular ships. Aside from age, another likely reason for pairing each other is that they do not have a canonical love interest. Rayrine usually shipped alongside Taiream, another featuring two of the youngest characters in the Sonic franchise. Its main rivals include Rayream and Tailrine.
There is only one fan fiction work on AO3 as of October 2020. A DeviantArt fanclub was set up dedicated to this ship on August 2011, and has currently a 6-part work by Eli-J-Brony under its Literature category.
A notable DeviantArtist is NoViKiMaRiMari, who has an archive of Rayrine fan art since 2013. She has been also hosted art trades with fellow shippers. Another one is ameth18, who also ships rare pairings such as Espionia, Manina, and Mightoney. The MobiuanCouples group has a gallery dedicated to this ship.

Razoral is the het ship between Razor the Shark and Coral the Betta.

Razor and Coral both appear exclusively in the Post-Super Genesis Wave Archie Comics. Razor is extremely loyal to Coral and attempts to protect her from anything. In addition, Razor is also very supportive of her and follows her anywhere.
When Sonic teased Razor for having feelings for Coral, he denied it, although he later questioned whether Coral would be interested in him.

In issue 25, Sonic and Shard's relationship started out very similar to that of their game counterparts. Shard, who was then known as Metal Sonic, had kidnapped Amy Rose and was holding both her and Tails hostage in the Collision Chaos Zone. He and Sonic raced, but was unable to keep up and melted his own legs when pushing his own rocket beyond its limits in a vain effort to match Sonic's speed.
In issue 87, Metal Sonic and Sonic didn't meet again until much later, sometime after Metal's defeat at the hands of Knuckles and the Chaotix. This time, Metal had a Power Gem, which over time had given him sentience and the ability to act as an individual. Metal originally intended to kill both Sonic and Tails, but after seeing Tails' loyalty to Sonic due to their friendship, Metal chose to sacrifice himself to save them.
In issue 245, Sonic and Metal did not encounter one another until sometime after the latter's reconstruction (as the Power Gem had preserved his programming). By this time, Metal was now going by the name of Shard. Upon seeing the robot, Sonic, Tails, and Amy attacked him. But when they were all ambushed by the Krudzu (which had taken control of a downed Metal Knuckles), the two worked together to defeat the Krudzu.

Canon[]
Although Silver, Blaze and Amy are featured as a trio in promotional artwork of Sonic the Hedgehog, there is never a moment in the game where all three characters appear together. In fact, Blaze and Amy never meet each other in the game, and the two are only shown to be friends in other games and the Archie comics in situations where Silver is absent.
Silver, Blaze and Amy all appear together near the end of Sonic Generations alongside the rest of the characters, cheering on the Sonics before their fight with the Time Eater. They also appear as playable characters in the Mario & Sonic series, where it is possible to form a team consisting of the three alongside a fourth character.
All the have had associations with Vector in spin-off games. In Sonic Free Riders, Vector appears as the third member of Team Rose alongside Amy and Cream, while in Team Sonic Racing, Silver and Blaze are members of his own team.
In an off-panel in Sonic Universe #58, Marine writes a fanfiction of Silver and Blaze. However, Blaze dislikes it and burns it. Amy, however, notes that the guy seems handsome.

The polyship is not very popular, as polyships in general are not very common in the Sonic fandom. It is a combination of three more-popular ships featuring two out of the three characters.

Sonsalminaamy (a.k.a. Sonamyallyina) is the poly ship between Sonic, Sally, Mina, and Amy.

Amy, Sally, and Mina were Sonic's three most prominent admirers in the Pre-Super Genesis Wave comics.
Fanon[]
Sonamyallyina is viewed as a way to get around Sonamy, Sonally, and Sonina by combining them into Sonamyallyina. Many people fight over the three couples (there's an Archie cover about this) so Sonamyallyina was created to ship Sonic with Amy, Sally, and Mina altogether at the same time with no worries. Fanart of Amy, Sally, and Mina as friends have been created, some with Sonic in it, some without it.
As early as 2008, a parody of a Saturday Night Live song with Sonic characters called "Sonic, Sonic" began circulating the Internet. In this song, Amy, Sally, and Mina sing about wishing that Sonic were falling for them and that his girlfriend (confirmed to be Breezie) were dead. This became very popular as a Sonamyallyina pairing meme and is what most people think of when they think of the ship. It's not all romance-oriented, though; Sonamyallyina can be a "just friends" pairing too.

Sonamream is the polyship between Sonic the Hedgehog, Amy Rose and Cream the Rabbit.

The three had their first common appearance in Sonic Advance 2, which is the game where Cream debuted. Out of the Gameboy Advance games, the three also appear in Sonic Battle and Sonic Advance 3.
In Sonic Heroes, Team Rose, consisting of Any, Cream and Big the Cat, were looking were looking for their lost friends Chocola and Froggy, who they thought had been kidnapped by Sonic (in reality, it was Metal Sonic disguised as Sonic). They encountered Team Sonic in the city where Grand Metropolis and Power Plant were located. During this encounter, Amy also tried to get Sonic to marry her. Amy and Cream met Sonic again shortly before their encounter with Metal Sonic.
In Sonic Generations, Amy and Cream were both among the guests who attended Sonic's birthday party.

Canon[]
Jewel was working in the Mineral Museum and seen Tangle swinging around the streets of Spiral Hill Village, and told her she could run into someone, but Tangle didn't listen to Jewel. Tangle soon ran into a chili dog cart. They then got some chili dogs and went back to the Mineral Museum. Jewel makes fun of Tangle for running into the cart and asks her why she is restless. Tangle told her that it was because of after fighting against robot invasions and meeting Sonic, she didn't want to go back to her old life.
Endless Summer[]
Sonic visits Tails behind his lab and asks him to come hang out. Tails says that he is too busy but asks Sonic if he could check if Restoration HQ's metal shop has a part he is missing. While passing through the shop, he stumbles across Jewel, and finds out how hard she's been working, but she is missing Tangle and Whisper, which is making Jewel feel left out. she tries to pretend everything is fine and continues to work. Sonic leaves to collect the missing part for Tails. All of a sudden, he gets an idea, and he rushes back to Jewel's office, telling her that they have a very important mission.

Sonewel isn't a very popular ship at all, but some people did start shipping them after the Endless Summers comic.
Sonewel is one of the least popular ships in the whole fandom, because Sonic and Jewel don't talk very much. Sonangle and Sonisper are more popular ships for Sonic in the IDW comics. There is currently only 1 work for this pairing on AO3, as well as 2 works for the platonic version of the pairing. It does not reach the top ten ships for either Jewel or Sonic.

When the game Sonic X-treme was in development, Tiara was intended to be Sonic's love interest. However, the game was scrapped and Tiara has never made an official appearance in any Sonic media (excluding a few cameos in the Archie Comics).

Soniara is not a very popular ship, as Tiara has never made an official appearance. Some people think Sonic and Tiara would have made a great couple, while others don't.

Sonilla is the het ship between Sonic and Vanilla.
Canon[]
Vanilla appears at the end of Sonic Advance 2 where she is seen falling down from Eggman’s mech after it was destroyed, then being rescued by the hedgehog.
In Sonic Rush, Sonic and Tails go to Cream’s house for clues on Blaze. Upon arrival, they meet the rabbit’s mother where she gave them information on the cat’s whereabouts.
In Sonic X, Cream said to Sonic that her mother thought of the hedgehog as a good luck charm, because Sonic brought good luck to some people.[citation needed] Vanilla is one of those watching the match between Sonic and Amy. The mother rabbit gives permission to her daughter to join with Sonic and the other main characters on a journey in space. Both appear in the series finale, but they are not seen interacting with each other.
Vanilla got infected by the Zombot virus in the comics, becoming one in the process until Sonic used his super transformation to cleanse her and the others.

Sonilla is rarely spoken about in the fandom. It is overshadowed by more popular ships like Sonamy (Sonic×Amy) or Vectilla (Vanilla×Vector)
Fans who pair the two would make alternate universes where Vanilla is around Sonic’s age. As a consequence, the hedgehog can be a (second) father to Cream.
This was mentioned in a video by Sonicguru Productions.[citation needed] Another video by Tails and Sonic Pals in a VR Chat lounge depicts the titular fox asking Sonic (voiced by GottaGoFast!) if the latter was simping towards Vanilla (CharmyBeeBoi). The hedgehog denies this, and replies that he just likes the mother rabbit. He also denies this in another video.[citation needed]

Later in the motel Movie Sonic wore a bath towel in a fruity manor and said "Good times!" and lifted his leg to give Tom a whiff of his stinky, smelly, chili doggy poots! Tom said "Oh come on! Oh that's awful! What did you eat?" and Movie Sonic said "I think it's called a... chili dog?" so Tom Wachowski said "You might want to check your fur that one buddy!"

Sonyborg[]
Sonyborg is the non-binary ship between Sonic and Cyborg Sonic.
Canon[]
Cyborg Sonic, together with the rest of Team Cybonic, was created by Bolts from the DNA of their organic counterparts. Both Sonic and his cyborg clone defended Roboken against other robots under control by Hypnobot. After a successful defense of the city, the cyborg counterparts stayed there in case of further intrusions.
In "Victory", Cyborg Sonic and the rest of Team Cybonic, this time under control by Dr. Eggman's bracelets, challenged Team Sonic to a soccer match. Sonic was able to exploit their weaknesses and he and his team win. Eggman ordered the cyborgs to attack Team Sonic but they were freed from his control and turned against their deceiver.
Both Sonic and his clone met again in "Eggman Family Vacation". Sonic rushed to where his clone and Mighton confront Eggman after the latter stole Bolt's chip. Together with the rest of Team Sonic they fight a few Badniks having the chip's possession until Mombot tells them to break off. Eggman returns said chip, which Mighton revives Bolt, who says that he feels rested.

This ship is rare. The first known Sonyborg shipper is a PicsArtist by the name of sonicandsimon. One of their fan art is a derivation from a piece of Sonic Boom doodles 4 by Heartinarosebud. YouTuber Soniku Booman might be the same person, since they are a fan of both Boom Sonic and Cyborg Sonic.
This pairing has yet to have any fan fiction to be written.

Thwompfinite[]
Infinite x Thwomp is the non-binary ship between Infinite and Thwomp from the Sonic the Hedgehog and Super Mario fandoms.
Canon[]
Since Infinite is a character from Sonic the Hedgehog series and Thwomp is a character from Super Mario series, Infinite and Thwomp never meet each other in canon.
They share an antagonistic role in their respective games, though Infinite is a major villain whilst the Thwomps are just mooks.
Fanon[]
Not much is known about the shipping before the release of "Bowser VS Eggman", an episode of the versus debating web series DEATH BATTLE!, which popularizes the relationship between Infinite and Thwomp. In said episode, Infinite is ordered by Dr. Eggman to destroy the Koopa Troop led by Bowser. Infinite has successfully destroyed some members of the Koopa Troop thanks to the power of the Phantom Ruby to manipulate gravity, but King Boo, who is unaffected by Infinite's gravity manipulation, summons a Thwomp above Infinite's head. The Infinite crushes Infinite and therefore takes him out of the fight.
The scene has since become an Internet meme.[1] and the relationship between Infinite and Thwomp has been discussed, with some of them jokingly stating that Infinite and Thwomp would be romantically attracted.
