Soniyoko is the femslash ship between Sonia Nevermind and Hiyoko Saionji from the Danganronpa fandom.
Canon
Sonia and Hiyoko often don't interact and barely does so. They don't even have an event in Ultimate Talent Development Plan nor Danganronpa S. Although, they both do share some similarities, which the both of them are blonde. They both consist of having accessories on their head. Sonia and Hiyoko were the few ones (along side with Fuyuhiko, Peko, and Mahiru), would only attend the class within the real world and in Hope's Peak Academy.
In Chapter 3, where the aftermath of Mahiru's death, Sonia had met Hiyoko. Who after bathed in the first day, was unable to tie her obi properly. Due to the fact Mahiru would always help Hiyoko with tying her obi properly. Sonia then suggests to Hiyoko that she should use the full-body mirror in the live house. Which resulted in Hiyoko walking in on Mikan while she was hanging Ibuki, causing Mikan to kill Hiyoko. After Hiyoko's death along side with Ibuki, Sonia states that she felt bad for Hiyoko as she was the one to suggest to use the full-body mirror, resulting in her death.
During in Hiyoko's last free time event, Hiyoko mentions that she had been stewing for a while, and mentions again that they pissed her off. Meanwhile Hajime had no idea what she meant, Hiyoko thinks that Hajime is "totally gawking at that bitch" while she was pissed off. Even though Hajime still doesn't know who Hiyoko was referring to, he tried to guess who she referring to by saying that she's referring to Sonia. Hiyoko implicitly told him that he was right, she then states that she doesn't care if she's a princess or a foreigner, she gets away it because "you all pamper her like crazy!", Hiyoko was mad at Sonia. Hajime asks Hiyoko why she was mad at Sonia, trying to make sure that she wasn't envious of her, but Hiyoko denied that statement, possibly implying that she is envious of her. Saying that she just seriously pisses her off.
Fanon
Soniyoko is a small ship within the Danganronpa fandom, and is also a rarepair. Soniyoko's fanbase is almost non-existent because Soniyoko was always overshadowed by Sonia's and Hiyoko's other and more popular ships such as, Sondam and Soapies. Sonia and Hiyoko are often shipped because of Sonia's fasicination when it comes to the Japan and their cultures. There isn't that much fanfictions, nor fan arts for Soniyoko.
