Sophelia is the femslash ship between Soleil and Ophelia from the Fire Emblem fandom.
Canon[]
Soleil is a mercenary and the daughter of Laslow, while Ophelia is a mage and the daughter of Odin which also makes her a direct descendant of the Altean Royal Lineage. They were both placed in the Deeprealms to protect them from the war, though they did not grow up together.
At the begin of their support conversations Ophelia is trying to hide from Soleil, who is constantly seeking her out. When Soleil finds Ophelia she invites her to spend time together at her favorite tea shop as she believes they are destined to be together and hopes for a long-lasting partnership. However, Ophelia remains reluctant.
When Soleil next finds Ophelia she has prepared a body swap spell that she hopes will deter Soleil's interest, since Ophelia believes Soleil would have no interest in chasing after her own body even if Ophelia was in it. The plan backfires however, with Soleil, now in Ophelia's body, wanting to check it out in a mirror. When Soleil tries to talk with their fathers, Ophelia quickly undoes the spell. Upset, Ophelia tells Soleil that she just wanted her to agree to stop hounding her and that maybe they could have finally been normal friends. She leaves crying and Soleil understands that she messed up.
Later Soleil apologizes for acting the way she did and not listening to Ophelia, but admits she has always liked Ophelia for her confidence and unwavering determination and that was why she wanted to become friends with her. Ophelia shares that her father, Odin, had fought alongside Soleil's father, Laslow, and she believed that they too would become comrade-in-arms one day. But because of this she created an ideal version of Soleil in her mind and then held that against Soleil when she didn't live up to it. Soleil tells Ophelia that even if she can't be the person Ophelia imagined, she'd still love to get to closer to her. Ophelia believes they now have a close relationship and is confident that great things will come of them. Finally, Ophelia invites Soleil to a tea shop for a long chat, and when Soleil excitedly tells her she loves Ophelia admits that "for the first time, I'm happy to hear you say that."

Fanon[]
Sophelia is one of the more popular ships within gen 2 child units, though still small overall. Since Soleil has seemingly inherited her father's love of flirting with women and inviting them on tea dates she became well liked within sapphic circles of the Fire Emblem fandom, and the fact that Ophelia comes to appreciate that side of Soleil then made their ship equality liked. There is some criticism surrounding Soleil's constant pursuit of Ophelia, with some disliking how she ignores personal boundaries, however many have noted that the whole point of Soleil and Ophelia's support is having her learn to respect those boundaries.
Sophelia is the most popular ship for each of the involved characters on AO3.
