Sorbetriel is the friendship between Sorbet Shark Cookie and Ariel from the Cookie Run and The Little Mermaid fandoms.
Canon[]
Sorbet Shark Cookie and Ariel do not interact with eachother. But, the two are in the same game together. In the past update, Devsisters released a Disney collab. In this collab, Ariel and Sorbet Shark Cookie could be seen taking a picture together. Since the two are both sea animals, the two had to have come across eachother during their time underwater.
Inspiration[]
Just like Ariel, Sorbet Shark Cookie got their legs from a more powerful being. In Ariel's case, it was the Sea Witch, Ursula. In Sorbet Shark Cookie's case, it was Black Pearl Cookie who gave them their legs. Black Pearl Cookie was also inspired by Ursula. In both cases, both aquatic creatures were rid of their voices in return for legs.
Sorbet Shark Cookie's shark body might have also been inspired by Ariel. Though they are a shark, they resemble a mermaid more. It should also be noted, when Sorbet Shark Cookie jumps into water, they regain their voice. It is just, out of water, Sorbet Shark Cookie speaks in bubbles. This is a feature Ariel was not able to gain, but something Sorbet Shark Cookie has.
Fanon[]
During the Disney Update, Sorbet Shark Cookie and Ariel Cookie shared several photos together. The idea of Sorbet Shark Cookie being inspired by Ariel was merely speculated before the update. But, after the update, it was revealed to be true. Fans of Cookie Run love to see this ship as a friendship, and often make fanart of the two, due to their simularites. Not many people see the two as compatible in a relationship.
Some depict Sorbet Shark Cookie going into Ariel's world, one artist had them replace Scuttle in the scene where Ariel sees Eric for the first time.
