SouKan is the slash ship between Yu Narukami and Kanji Tatsumi from the Persona fandom.
Canon[]
Yu and Kanji are both students at Yasogami High School in Inaba. Yu is in second year, while Kanji is in first. While Yu has only just moved to town, Kanji has lived there his entire life. Yu is first introduced to Kanji when he sees a report of him on the news. The Investigation Team takes note of this, wondering if he'll be the next victim of the Midnight Channel. A few days later, Yu witnesses Kanji's Shadow on the Midnight Channel. Yosuke calls him to confirm what they saw; in the anime adaptation, Yu asks Yosuke if he wants a copy of the video.
After the group saves Kanji, he joins their team and becomes their friend. When the first and second years go on a school camping trip, Kanji elects to spend most of his time with Yu, Yosuke, Chie, and Yukiko. He comes to Yu and Yosuke's tent in the middle of the night, telling them at that first year tent was "too quiet". Yosuke seems uneasy at the idea of sharing a tent with Kanji after witnessing his Shadow. In the anime, Yu joins in on Yosuke's feelings. He tries to get Kanji to admit his sexuality, then says that he doesn't want to try anything with him. Kanji ends up storming out, heading for the girl's tent instead.
Despite some initial misgivings, Yu seems to accept Kanji for who he is, regardless of his sexuality. He seems to tease Kanji the least out of the members of the Investigation Squad (although he does tease him considerably more in the anime adaptation). On the group date, Yu has the option to say that he would date Kanji if given the choice. Yosuke encourages this, although its likely just another method of teasing Kanji about his Shadow. Kanji is shown to deeply respect Yu, and to care about his opinions. He sees Yu as a strong leader, and wants to prove himself to him.
They are both creative, with Kanji taking enjoyment in sewing cute animals, and Yu enjoying folding paper cranes.

Fanon[]
SouKan is a popular ship in the Persona 4 fandom. Although not the most popular ship for either Kanji or Yu, it has a fair number of fans. It is often enjoyed by fans of Kanji, as they see Yu as the best slash shipping option for him. Fans of SouKan enjoy the dynamic that the two boys have with each other, especially what is built up during the Social Links. They enjoy the genuine love and care that Yu shows for Kanji, in opposition to people like Yosuke who tend to tease him more than anything else.
There are currently over 100 works on AO3 for this ship. It is most often rivalled by SouYo and KanNao.
