SpiderMoth is the friendship between Vaggie and Angel Dust from the Hazbin Hotel fandom.

Though commonly referred to as frenemies, Vaggie is the one to hold a one-sided animosity towards Angel due to her distrust of men. Meanwhile, Angel only teases her to get a reaction out of her, much to her dismay. Despite this, Vaggie has made it clear towards Alastor that she would not allow him to hurt anyone in the hotel (referring to Angel Dust and Charlie) at the time of his introduction. Despite their qualms and bickering, Vaggie and Angel have been shown to get along better throughout the series. For one, both of them immediately jump to the prospect of murdering Pentious for his betrayal, singing together about spilling his blood much to Charlie’s protest. Additionally, both of them are seen together in scenes such as when Vaggie attempts to film a new commercial for the hotel, failing when Niffty zones out—which prompts Angel to lean in and mock Vaggie, calling her by Vagina.
Dirty Healings comics[]
In the official comics centering around Angel Dust, it is shown how Angel Dust met Vaggie and Charlie for the first time. Mistaking them as clients at first, he then tells them he charges extra for women. Charlie tells him they're not here for that, to which Vaggie asks the former if he's the right one. Charlie reassures her that she made the right choice and Vaggie proceeds to ask for his name. He introduces himself as a porn star, to which Vaggie questions if adding that last part was necessary, with him responding that it just naturally slips out.
After introducing themselves, Angel amuses himself over the fact that Vaggie's name sounds dangerously similar to "vagina", which the latter dismisses as she proceeds to tell him what they've stopped him for. After hearing out their plan, Angel asks why they've targeted him specifically to which Vaggie tells him that no other demon has agreed to their idea yet.
Vaggie quickly offers him free meals, a rent-free living space, and protection from Hell's hazards in the condition that he agree with their plans and would genuinely try to rectify his own behavior. He tells them how he thinks it's a pretty lame idea, which pisses Vaggie off. She then tells Charlie that he was never a good candidate to begin with and urges for them to part ways with the adult film actor. But not before being interrupted by Angel, who insists that he's a "good pick". Vaggie then tells Angel to prove it, which he starts off by accepting their proposal, followed by him oversharing about having to pleasure his landlord to get off scot-free with rent.

Fanon[]
SpiderMoth started out as quite the small ship within the fandom, but slowly started getting notice after it was revealed that they were written as romantic partners in pre-production. Fans have taken note of their dynamic and have paired them together due to their possible chemistry and how they hope that Angel would be the reason for Vaggie to start trusting men again and for Vaggie to be another sort of emotional support for Angel. However, it is more common as a friendship since the two have respective love interests, Vaggie with Charlie and Angel with Husk.
However, due to Angel’s relentless teasing and Vaggie’s uptight and irate persona around him, fans have found chemistry in their dynamic and ship them romantically. As a result, Spider Moth is often portrayed as the extroverted and outgoing boyfriend coupled with the tsundere girlfriend. It is also a favorite amongst Charlastor shippers, as the two pairings are often seen together in several fanworks.
It is the rival ship of Chaggie, Huskerdust, and RadioDust, and the ship currently has 170+ gen works and 85+ romantic works on AO3.

Trivia[]
- During the pre-production of the series, Angel Dust and Vaggie were written to be a couple, back when the former was a pansexual and the latter a bisexual.[1]
